ITA that Johnnie's approach to advertising, slogans and comments within the catalogues and emails are vomit inducing. The twee-ness of Boden knows no bounds. However, isn't life poxy and depressing enough at times? PR is rarely about reality.
I do find it puzzling that Boden incites such vitriol on MN Why?
It strikes me that anything perceived as middle class aspirational types are fine fodder for a good kicking but for heaven's sake do not start on the working class. (and before anyone jumps on me for that, can I say that I was raised on a rough arse council estate by a single mum ).
We don't have endless threads on the vileness of "Woman at Next" or "Who is Top Shop Woman?" And what does their PR approach say about them?
I wear things from Boden but never hotchpotch , my life is all I had hoped for and more and I definitely do not consider myself middle aged (despite what you might think, Cherryblossoms ).
