Absolutely. So sad about Dave. They were really something special together.

Op will feel better when she gets home and works through the pile of things she has on order and then gets most of them returned.

At the moment it feels like a lot of balls still in the air, but, as I said right back about halfway through the other thread, I felt she was 90 percent sorted once we got the jumpsuit, dress and jewellery. They all work, are all lovely and, barring a catastrophic bag or shoe choice, will see the deal through with her looking lovely and will be the focus of her outfit. That's not to say no-one will notice you OP, but, as @EleanorMc67 said, you only have so much bandwidth for other people's outfits. Shoes most likely go under the radar..

I'd just play safe with the shoes from here.

@MumzSuki, I actually begin with footwear and plan the outfit from there on up. The weather and amount of walking determine my footwear choices, then I build upwards. It makes the whole thing much less frustrating.

@Ruthietuthie interesting approach; we need a separate thread on great footwear!

That’s because I bought them! 🤣 Think that’s about six pairs of shoes and boots coming my way. 😵‍💫

I hope they work ok! And the others are all new, aren't they - so can be returned if any/all don't suit?

Thank you@WrongWomen those are very pretty. I’ll ’hold that thought’ for now, as I have about six pairs on their way to me, will see how those look before ordering more. I’m still not sure about wearing brown with teal, although a lot of PP have tried hard to persuade me!

I agree @RuthietuthieI always start with my shoes, especially as I have got older and can’t tolerate uncomfortable shoes, when I was young, I just didn’t care, it’s amazing my trotters are still fully intact really

so, I am here to say a big THANKS to the group...

There is no way that these shoes would have been on my Vinted feed if I had not at some point clicked on something else recommended on this thread.

They arrived today and are great! Totally different to anything I would have considered. They will jazz up my outfit for my wedding in Jan.

£35 delivered and they were all but unworn.

I even have time to get more comfortable wearing them between now and January!!! (but as they have a block heel they are not that challenging really)

No you’re quite right, I have ordered a brown faux fur, but that’ll only be on between car and venue etc, still planning currently for gold shoes and bag hopefully. 🤞

But the gorgeous greenish-yellow brocade Dries Van Noten ones are still unsold ... & the longer they remain unsold & popping up in my Vinted feed, the more at risk I am of performing DIY toe amputation to fit into them ... 😬!!

Now you see @EleanorMc67, if they’d have been like the thong sandals on the other thread, you’d have been fine, you could have dangled your toes over the edge, so they do have some benefits 😂
