Harrods are probably laughing all the way the way to the bank, as they’ve no doubt shifted tens of thousands of calendars, and these people who don’t even want them are stuck with them.

I’m another still considering the SFAC tomorrow. Last week I got my place to purchase after they had run out of stock (so the queue kind of worked, in that I did get a slot….at 9.55am…..). I’ve already bought the Halfetti to cheer myself up, but I could easily work through more than one. Equally, I’m not going to get too worked up about it: I’m travelling early, and have meeetings in the office most of the day tomorrow, so I can easily see it not working out.

Has to be said, I love the idea of all the scalpers ending up with dead stock they have to reduce. I’m in town after work tomorrow afternoon for a dinner thing, might use the bit of free time beforehand try to check out the various HFAC fragrances I don’t know, in case those end up being affordable after all!

Not really, they remove the most popular ones. Some are very sneaky in the description. Ive seen resellers list them with 10 plus and theyve been selling them albeit slowly. The lowest complete one is now more up to 300 ish. Imfew weeks ago they were going for around for 270.

Omg - just had a quick look on ebay and there are absolutely loads of SFAC.. I hope they get stuck with them and lose money. Effing scalpers !

It's a lovely idea - I would like that as an alternative calendar for the DC, but that is one ambitious price, imo!

Rude oud looks like it's falling in price too from the HFAC. They were massively inflated before. So tempted to get one.

Went on a bit of a deep dive - not too hard if you search reselling, replicas, and commonly resold items on Reddit and the like. They have discord, whatsapp, and other groups where someone posts something and they all swarm on it. Multiple accounts, multiple phones, bots, it's an entire operation. Someone must have identified the HFAC and SFAC as good options for resellers.

I thought it was people passing off replica sneakers, footie jerseys, and designer clothes as the real thing. Or the Playstation frenzy.

There was talk about limited edition Jellycat releases and limited edition kids toys too.

Absolutely sickening, the way they talk about the people they sell to - both the replica sellers pretending their items are authentic, and the ones who are scalping genuine products.

Congrats on getting your BT calendar! I was rather hoping to hear about your Dublin day trip in pursuit of AC joy, but I'm glad you don't have rush around. 😂

I'll gladly lurk along in any BT unboxing thread because so many posters have gone through such logistical efforts to secure it.

@Giftwithpurchase - I did think about getting some new HG eyeshadow from Liberty with some of my BD money but when I went to SNK to check shades they didn’t have any in stock. I would only buy a few of the singles to go in a palette, though.

I will be having a look at the bath/body edit tomorrow and am vaguely interested in some of the jewellery Liberty sells, (although I am not supposed to be buying any more).

It’s only been a couple of weeks since I dragged myself round every floor trying in vain to find something to buy with my own money that I stupidly gave to Liberty! It looks like I will be trying again at some point between now and Xmas. (Right now that leather rhino is starting to look quite attractive!)

Do people think there will be a GWP or exciting edits in the run up to Xmas?
