Thanks for the info on the Selfridges FAC @MaryBD. I was hoping it would be Wednesday as DH has his last night shift tonight so will be asleep until around midday tomorrow, whereas he would be up and about early on Wednesday. Oh well, if it isn’t meant to be it isn’t meant to be.

Last year this was 1/3 off in the black friday deal on Selfridges so if you can wait it out til then.

I’ve been away so just caught up on all of the SFAC shenanigans. Blimey! I’m quite glad I wasn’t considering it!

I just hope the date they gave partners is correct, otherwise I’ll feel really bad 😅

I love PDM and would have loved last year's calendar, but is it really good value for money this year when one item is a keyring and the other a refillable empty bottle and then some shower gels and mini samples?

I've been out all day but can see we've had all kinds of news.

So happy @JoRaRaRa 's BT advent arrived safely. We can now officially celebrate the pioneers success and my local council can crack on with my gold statue. 😁

The Ddogs in my house are happy, they have the Pets at home luxury advent calendar and hopefully no DoD for them.

Well I channelled my anger towards the resellers / scalpers by searching for the full SFAC on vinted, and reporting loads of them for selling a banned item. Delighted to receive a flurry of emails a while later from vinted confirming that those listings had been removed.

Aw wow! Go you! High five! . The whole SFAC debacle has left a bad taste in everyone’s mouth. Selfridges are a corporate giant. They don’t care who they sell to. They only thing they care about is that it sells out instantly. A pound spent by a scalper is the same as a pound spent by a genuine customer. By sharing drop dates, they get frenzy, urgency and public hysteria … oh and a record breaking sell out. Win win.

But also telling myself that I do already have the JL one and combined with the Liberty advent I probably have quite a few fragrances lined up! (Trying to manage my expectations here).

The scalpers are absolutely infuriating.

And very grateful for the Selfridges release tomorrow morning rip off @MaryBD but as luck would have it I’m in Madrid with my daughter who I was going to split it with, should I be lucky enough to get one. Still going to have another bash as she has her laptop with her and my incredibly patient husband will be trying as well, but if I don’t, I think I’m just going to order the Harvey Nichols fragrance advent calendar instead and rip the Band-Aid off so to speak.

Also although I said it would just be the Harrods this year think I’m going forward the lookfantastic tomorrow morning to help cope with the disappointment as I’m nearly out of my usual shampoo and conditioner and night cream and I can get it all in there in one go, never used Elemis night cream before but worth a try and lots of extra bits for stocking fillers for my daughters.

For everyone trying tomorrow, I really hope you get one and let the odds forever be in your favour LOL will be channelling my inner Katniss Everdeen 🤣

Ahead of tomorrow's Selfridges FAC restock, I had lined myself up to see if I could get one for any of you lot but I now have to attend a meeting at school from 8:30 which potentially writes me off. I'm not sure Selfridges would have allowed an additional SFAC purchase on my account but I could have set up with my work email maybe. Anyway, sorry in advance because I really wanted to be here and available, I have a PC with several types of browser, an android phone and an iPhone, and a work laptop with a different type of browser again. Life in IT for you. I hope somehow tomorrow plays out differently and you don't need two computers and two mobiles...!

Good luck to everyone trying for the SFAC tomorrow (thanks @MaryBD for the info). I'm glad I'd already given up as the hack won't work on my phone by the sound of it so I'd be doubly frustrated. I might go and sit in the queue anyway for old times sake though 😂

Was there anyone the 'queue' worked for? What about @traybro?
Is there any chance that, if they use Queue-it again, that landing on the Queue-it page from the moment it becomes available could lead to actually being able to make a purchase?

@ClutteredPalace if Harrods still have the hair and beauty ac when I go in a few weeks, I might pick that up. Then I'll be just keeping an eye out for sales and discounts. I'm more interested in the holiday makeup releases now 👀

I'm anxious on behalf of everyone for the 2nd SFAC drop. I hope at least some of you manage to get one. I'm going to be out for an hour at 9am so I'll miss the happenings but hoping for some good news when I get back in.

Edit to avoid confusion - I'm assuming it will be 9am again like last time but we don't know that. In theory it could be anytime.

Yes I was looking at the harrods hair and beauty over the weekend. If the fragrances had been more to my taste, floral or citrus, id get it. X
