Confession time. Despite many weeks of saying I was not going to buy SpaceNK I caved about bought it with the stacking discount codes. With the vouchers back that brings it in under £200 so temptation got the better of me. I'm both thrilled with a good deal and also slightly ashamed at my lack of willpower. 😂😳

Hah a client asked if they could call just before 9 am tomorrow. I said I have meetings....meetings with this thread I meant! I am sick of this bun fight now. Just need some discount codes and edits...

@Realtnamara I checked last year, and the arnotts/second BT was released on the Wednesday of this week, with the contents announced the day before - so fingers crossed for tomorrow

Holy Moly, I just took a skip through eBay and Vinted. Talk about a crowded market place (SFAC) . ??? Hehehehe…Wouldn’t it be priceless if we all held off buying from them for now. Especially if there’s weight in the rumoured third drop by Selfridges in Nov. We’ll watch as these poor scalpers hold these items for weeks, and once the realisation hits that they have over-leveraged themselves, we’ll watch the prices go down as they undercut the tripe out of each other trying to claw money back in the run up to Christmas - especially those with between 5-10 available!

Oh my goodness I wish that DD2 was a bit girlier just so I could justify the Bubble T advent which has 20% off. So pretty! But sadly she’d use the bath bombs and ignore everything else so not a good buy for my house this year. Hopefully it might suit someone else!

Ooh I would have been right on that if it were Byoma @BadgerFace , the Bubble T stuff breaks my dd out so I couldn't justify it but we could happily go halves on a Byoma one.
I am not going to google if there is one. I'm not doing it.

Just to give some mumsnetters some hope I got my SFAC through the queue system so don't discount it completely I think I was in the 3000's when I started . I do think Selfridge's allocated the number randomly though as I was at 15000 on my phone which I.joined first and then 3000 on my iPad which I pressed afterwards

Oh that’s useful to know, thanks @DidILeaveTheGasOn, as DD2 has very sensitive skin (if she ever gets into skincare and may not, we’ve got a Spots and Stripes cleanser and moisturiser so far that she can’t be bothered with most of the time!)

My Liberty beauty drop box arrived today - really on the fence about cancelling it - will decide after I’ve opened tomorrow. I do quite enjoy it but like ppl I struggle to spend my money as I feel like I can’t fritter it away & get decision fatigue! Just fyi @IlovePondand others struggling to spend - Trudon candles are in the spend £300 for £200 as are the lovely Liberty PJs. They also have the hourglass pallets - excluded from the £300 offer but a good thing to spend beauty drop on given how ££ they are - also the new Jones Road gift sets ..

totally. These guys bulk purchasing with the sole purpose of reselling are the problem. And I am sure there must be a smidge of panic in that community with the numbers of stock available. ..and the huge number of chancers giving it a go? And meanwhile, big heavy boxes sat in their living rooms , in the way, with no actual guarantees of going anywhere. The countdown is on. The interest is going to hit those credit cards soon.

There are loads of Harrods fragrance calendars on eBay too. Some are only £50-£60 over the original price and they can’t shift them. Is it really worth it?! These people are idiots, and the greediest ones will be stuck with them.

This happened to Pokemon resellers with the 30th anniversary cards. They bought up tons of stock anticipating huge profits with special cards, but the pull rate is so high that even if they make a profit, it's nothing compared to their anticipated scalping of thousands.

I hope the same thing happens with all the SFAC and BACs that resellers have been buying up. They add nothing of value and prevent people who legitimately want the calendars as treats for themselves or others from getting any.

I see a lot of SFAC and similar resellers with Pokemon and other hyped toys on their profiles.

You're an absolute queen. I'm especially annoyed by this because most SFAC and BAC customers are women, and we have more than enough on our plate without being exploited by resellers.

The dozens - if not hundreds of listings I see across eBay and Vinted are all stock that could have gone to customers who truly wanted most of the products in it.

I spotted a particular reseller on Vinted who seems to have multiple - he would list one, it sold, and he would instantly list another. Ebay, of course, is full of people doing the same.

Oh gosh you’re right. Just seeing now. Madness. Scalpers must have been tripping over those Harrods ones since August! lol. Such a shame, all that perfume just sitting there. Well ….they all need to get their act together. If they haven’t been sold since Aug who’s going to buy them after the 1st Dec?ll the window is closing. There’s other financial priorities for most people very very soon. Same goes for SFAC. All consumers need to do is hold your nerve and wait……long game Scalp Tossers. Long game.
