Finally delurking (though I have been active on this board under other incarnations over the past few years) to add my small contribution to the SFAC ‘saga’. I secured one using the wish list hack (so many, many thanks to the poster who shared) and it arrived on Saturday. I also have the HFAC and in my view, the Harrods offering is way superior in terms of packing/presentation. Beautifully done with boxed (and in some cases still sealed in cellophane) fragrances. Selfridges arrived with the flimsy card inserts torn and franrances unsecured. Not a box in sight. I actually prefer the Harrods fragrances too, though I appreciate that this is just my personal opinion.
Finally, to the poster on the other thread who feels that she may be at a disadvantage because her husband will be trying to secure a calendar using only a phone and an iPad, My order went through on my (very) ancient iPad, no problems, plus my device is so slow that I had a good few seconds to ‘add to basket’, so🤞for her and anyone else ordering this way 😊

I am after recommendations for a nice 12 day calendar now. In the spirit of life can be much shorter than we know we are flying my best friend over here for Christmas from Australia. She has never had an English Christmas. Nor an advent calendar. She will be here for 12 ish days so I want to get her a nice 12 day one.

I gave in and ordered SFAC on ebay and already know Le Labo is not my cup of tea so would be happy to sell it to you if/once my calendar arrives.

I’d also like le lebo and LiP if anyone selling and I don’t manage to get one at the second drop.

Hello all - thanks to your lovely recommendations, I persuaded my husband to buy the Elle calendar for my early December birthday. He doesn’t want me to open it now to check the contents ….. but after reading about various problems with items missing and or damaged in several different BACs I’m slightly concerned to leave it until December! Has anyone had any problems with the Elle calendar or do you think it will be ok? Many thanks!

Exciting!! My Elle one was fine but may be worth your husband just making sure there is something in each drawer at least and no spillage? Any other issues ( hopefully there won’t be any) can be sorted in December as they’ll be expecting people to open then! Enjoy.

Got my SFAC yesterday and everything was just about intact. Very poor idea to have them in just the cardboard inserts though, most of mine were torn. If anyone manages to get one in the next drop I’d probably say try to click and collect if at all possible.

Also if anyone has a spare SNK code for the BAC I’d love it 😄

Can I raise a BAC/FAC-adjacent query re: storage and display? I bought one of these rotating skincare organisers last year

and it's been great, but also not quite fit for purpose. I use the bottom section for skincare and the top for haircare. When seated I'm not quite tall enough/gangly enough of limb to reach everything on the top layer (but it rotates so, fine), and I can't easily see everything on the bottom layer. I'm considering moving to trays instead, especially with the incoming <mumbles> bottles of perfumes.

What do other folks do re: storage and display on dressing tables? I would like to be a serene, calm space sort of person but instead I am a patterns, mild chaos and cats person...

I do sell on Vinted, although prefer ebay as you get more protection via their simple delivery. But we can work it out when/if the calendar arrives 🤞🤞🤞

Oh wow thanks @NC543210 . Just nabbed the Spacenk for £208 with points . It might not be the most exciting advent but there is a lot of practical things in there particularly cleansers which seems to be missing from other advents . Very happy with this

Yeah I do need a general stock up of the basics. I'll sell what I know I won't use but it feels like a sensible BAC (which is what put me off initially at that price)

@NC543210 I was just coming on here to say about the SNK codes! I forgot I’d had a late start to the day 😅
I also purchased with 15% discount and the £20 off app deal, and I had £10 in points to use, so total of £203, I’m very happy with that.
It’s great that we get some much back in points too. At this rate, it’s practically free 😁

I was also going to suggest that those who haven’t got a discount code to email SNK. The BACs are selling slowly and I think if you’re a loyal customer it makes sense for them to give you a code. That was my plan but while I pondered on it for a day or two, they sent me one anyway.

@Puravida23 I’m the same. It’s not exciting me as the main few bits I wanted I already bought off Vinted, but with the discounts it makes it well worth while to stock up on things I already use.

That's a nice tray! I've got a similar glass tray for things I use everything day, a desk top sizes set of storage drawers for things that don't fit on the tray and a bedside table sized set of 3 rattan drawers for the stash. Oh and a very packed make up bag, vanity bag, tote bag and a small cupboard of perfume. Im a chaos and cats person too so probably not the right person to answer this 😅
