Welcome to the 12th thread, we still have 50 days till the daily unboxing officially starts, although I very much doubt any of our calendars will remain untouched until then 😂

Thank you! This is both exciting and disappointing. I was sort of hoping that they didn’t announce it and I just happened to stumble across stock when I randomly check my wishlist.
Did they give any details about time or even how many are they releasing? I’m hoping (wishful I know) it’s much more than the first release.

@NC543210 I just checked my ndulge points from the advent purchase this morning and I' have 250 points pending so equivalent to £12.50. so it looks like you still.get the points using the 15% but not the £20 spend on £100 . I also used £5 points to pay so that would bring me to 250 points
if you are deluxe I am guessing you get double so £25 equiv

Am I alone in ordering the HN FAC? Granted it's not as good as last year but I thought it still worth getting although the delivery charges are annoying particulary as I can get to store but they aren't offering pick up. I thought if I have to pay £7 for standard delivery (thanks, Mike Ashley) then I may as well pay for Next Day for a bit more, and I've had the despatch conf so it should be in the hands of DPD as we speak.

So many resellers are putting the SFAC on Vinted. 😢 Many of the other items are Pokémon or other items that resellers are scooping up ATM. I was searching for advent calendar reviews on Reddit and found so many threads about people targeting ACs to resell whole or to split in part and resell, along with target pricing.

It's made me quite fed up.

Especially when I found subreddits such as r/replicareselling where people discuss how to resell fake fragrances, clothes, etc.

It’s maddening. And so little can be done about it. Unless Selfridges out-bot the bots! But that’s probably a whole level of IT infrastructure that it’s not worth them investing in

After sitting on the fence, falling off it and clambering back up with regards to the SFAC I've now decided it's definitely a no for me ( unlikely as it ever was) - I'm not really into gourmand fragrances and I think I just got caught up in the excitement. I do like Lust in Paradise, but it's not a must-have for me. Which is great news seeing as I'm starting a new job tomorrow morning so can't be dicking around immediately anyway 😂

I've talked myself out off Selfridges again. The debacle last week and perfumes being unboxed has made me cross 😁 I am very tempted by the PDM countdown though. Its a significant amount more but you get a welcome gift and samples 🤔

@MiaN said that it’s this week. My prediction is Thursday, because that’s usually when major retailers release. I think the luxury BT was September 24th, also a Thursday.

Hopefully they will announce the contents before that.

I also expect the other calendars to start their discounts from this week.

@Peridot1 - I recommend the Clarins 12 day a/c and they often have discounts on it closer to Xmas.

Elizabeth Arden also have a 12 day one for £80 and discounts often combine with GWPS at EA so it’s worth watching for reductions.

There is also the CT 12 day calendar but I think this is a bit overpriced.

@StressedEric and @SunnyPinkMoose - I am indeed struggling with what to spend my BD money on. (Not on the calendar - that’s for sure!)

I have had a look round the site ready for Rewards week but nothing is appealing to me. I just don’t really like Liberty 😿 but got carried away with the excitement of buying last year’s calendar and just assumed I would like this year’s too 🙈

I briefly toyed with the idea of buying something from Barbour, but of course that isn’t included in the £300 for £200 deal. Ditto Missoma.

Unless I buy the edit tomorrow it looks as if I will be waiting for the winter sale!

@Donsyb - I went wild a while back and bought lots of make up storage. I now have a combination of Stackers that I acquired at reduced rates and Vlando boxes ditto.

I don't know. It should be soon though.

I quite like this too but I’m fairly sure it was reduced last year so I’m holding for Black Friday. Does anyone with better memory recall if it was indeed reduced or am I just dreaming?

Unfortunately, no. I just received a partner newsletter mentioning “Selfridges Fragrance Advent - 13th Oct”, but it doesn't give any further details or explicitly confirm a restock.

I wonder if there is any chance of ASOS discounting their advent calendar? It seems to be immune to any codes and specifically states "excluded from discount codes" 😬😭
