I really don't understand neck cream (or arm cream or leg cream). Surely neck cream is just a facial moisturiser and arm or leg cream is just a body cream?

I don't know, I've only started using the Trinny recently on my 60 yr old crepey neck. Before that I just used moisturiser. I do think I'm seeing an improvement though, so will persevere.

I think there's a neck cream in the Boots skincare so if I get that I can do an experiment.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 23/09/2026 20:44

Ah but did you know @Skibunnygal that if you buy a jam advent calendar the law is that you have have to buy a BAC πŸ˜‚

I have Bonne Maman AC & JL FAC ordered & I will also be getting the M&S BAC & if I can make my mind up the F&M BAC too.
I might also throw in a Yankee candle one too.
I'm going to NYC later on this year so who knows if any reduced advents (or even full priced ones) will find their way back home in my suitcase πŸ€”

That gif is amazing, it’s me!
Currently surveying cardboard box mountain. Am meant to be trying to put my recent purchases away but also don’t want to put them too away in case I forget I have half this stuff (and I will, immediately). Is there a partial-away option? How do other people with crap memories organise their stashes?

The stuff I currently use is in the bathroom cabinet. I have different creams, serums, haircare stuff and about 3 rotating showerfoams. My perfumes are all on a shelve in my bedroom. I like to see them. I have a lipbalm in different bags, same goes for the small travelsized handcreams

I have one designated drawer with my stash. Its a very big one though. I have put open boxes in it. Each box contains a different category. The boxes are not closed as I would forget what I have. The boxes are old giftset boxes where I have taken the bottom and the top, turned upside down to hold the stuff contained.

I have day/nightcream, serums, eyecreams in box 1. Haircare in box 2. Perfumes in box 3 (backups as I prefer travesizes), bodycare in box 4. Handcrème and lipbalms in box 5. SPF LinkedIn up next to it. Fragrancesticks and handwash are under the kitchen sink.

My stuff doesnt expire and Im quick to declutter and sell stuff on.

I’ve been a bit slapdash in the past when it comes to neck cream and gotten away with it. But now I’m mid 40s and have lost quite a bit of weight (I’ve yo yo’d my whole life) I noticed a little wobbly bit under my chin at the end of last year. Have tried a few different products but decided to be consistent with the Trinny Elevator (after a few months dabbling across Trinny and others) and I really did notice an improvement. I’ve now run out of Trinny and using my alternatives (got Prai and Bloom & Blossom on Β£10 Tuesday at Boots) but actually considering ordering another Elevator! I do think it actually does help. I just wish they’d run another offer but prob not until Black Friday now.

Peachy2005 · 23/09/2026 21:11

Regarding Ireland and postage, my sister has an account with the Postal Store in Strabane in NI, so I get the advent calendars delivered there and they forward them on to their store in Letterkenny and she collects them from there for €3 per package. She tells me they have started delivering to 14 other locations in the South (as well as Letterkenny) so she will probably soon move her account to a different collection location as she no longer lives in Donegal. I think €3 per package seems quite good as it allows you to avail of free UK delivery and no customs charges πŸ˜‰

SummerLimes · 23/09/2026 21:14

Thabk you for the new thread - finding it hard to keep up (due to work which I guess does fund my buys so I should concentrate a bit!).

pinkchampagne1 · 23/09/2026 21:30

Thanks for the new thread @26inprogress
I have managed to resist the urge to buy the JL fragrance calendar but sent the link of it to a friend at work who is interested in a fragrance calendar this year.

I don’t officially own my Harrods BAC yet as it is a birthday present from DH and my birthday is next month, but I have already sold the hairspray and added the Sunday Riley serum 😁

SoloCat · 23/09/2026 21:32

@MrsBnow12 I read there is a maximum of 4 perfumes that are allowed to be sent together through Royal Mail, is this a lips are sealed kind of thing? Or do you generally have to fess up?
I know of someone I can get the BAC sent to, but the whole..bits missing, sent back for wrongly declared, or heaven forbid it disappears mid transit and there’s no recourse is putting me off.

I've been using the Medik8 cream (same as the CB advent one) on my neck as well as face and I swear it's made more of a difference than all the actual neck creams I've tried.

namechange0998776554799000 · 23/09/2026 21:35

@Goldleafcat keep an eye on John Lewis for the elevator - sometimes on sale, or you can use rewards if you have any that apply to skincare etc.

They have their members week starting on Friday so maybe there will be something then.

You can also buy a refill direct from Trinny which is a little cheaper.

I'm a total convert too, having never used neck cream in the past, and if I run out of elevator I can very quickly tell!

MrsBnow12 · 23/09/2026 20:32

My friend is in Northern Ireland so UK to UK, Brown Thomas deliver to Northern Ireland.
We use Royal Mail for posting and parcels are under Β£75 in value when using tracked 48hours.

I’m up north too. Anything that my English friends have posted over, I may have asked them to be economical in the valuing to dip below thresholds….

XelaM · 23/09/2026 21:37

Having buyers remorse over having bought my teen the LF advent calendar (which hasn't arrived yet btw). I feel like I could have got something that appeals to a teen more.

Can the very wise people on this thread who know about TikTok trends that teens follow (which I am totally oblivious to) put my mind at ease or recommend something better for a very trendy 16-year-old? πŸ™

Yes, that’s true. Even though the total overall volume involved in a FAC is fairly low, it’s the number of vials that are the problem and why high end English stores won’t post here. It’s such a pain. My lovely friend omits that detail when she posts over to me at English post offices. They’ve never opened to check, but always a risk, I guess…

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 23/09/2026 21:44

Managed to sort the stash into categories and put it away neatly, think a lot of it was cardboard!
I got Lola at Coat Check from Vinted and then regarded it with suspicion for a few days - SchrΓΆdinger's fragrance, I suppose, in that until I sprayed it, I wouldn’t know if I liked it, but if I sprayed it and didn’t like it, I wouldn’t be able to sell it as new. I have just spritzed and it is divine, oh my goodness. What a gorgeous fragrance. Absolutely beautiful.

It’s a great service. Long as you have someone with a local address, it works brilliantly! Xx

That sounds interesting. Where in the republic do they have the stores?

Edited - found them. Nowhere near me unfortunately.

@BeanNaGealai - unfortunately I don’t actually have enough Advantage points for the Boots calendar and I don’t think I want to hold a calendar until next year. And I do really want to use up my stash. Which is proving difficult as my skin has been really sensitive and I’m on a very boring regime of The Ordinary Squalane cleanser, Byoma Hydrating toner, eye cream and either CeraVe moisturiser in the morning and Cetaphil night cream at night. And the annoying thing is my skin feels so good! πŸ˜„

Next year however……..

Oh no πŸ˜” I didn't realise this and parcel flow never mentioned it despite me telling them what I was planning to buy. Doesn't seem like I'll be able to get the calendar after all 😭 I don't know anyone who could split up and post it out to me. I could always fly over for it but seems an expensive day out.

The 4 vial embargo is when it is going Royal Mail. Do Parcel flow use a courier service? It would be different rules if so.

It seems that each carrier is different, the restrictions are like a minefield and I think that’s why they don’t ship overseas. I really hope you can get it and it goes smoothly…it’s probably just me being ever so slightly paranoid 😬 It’s a great calendar…
I too thought about flying over @JoRaRaRa , but then realised I’d be turning an expensive BAC into I might as well get the Guerlain 😳

SoloCat · 23/09/2026 22:10

And considering I went to Italy recently and they confiscated my bottle of suntan lotion coming back to the uk..I’d cry if customs made me leave a load of stuff there.
