not to throw spanner in works but can we also make our own ACs made up of discontinues products? Coz I cld totally fill that whole thing in my head quickly too. I shouldn’t get angry tho so maybe not

also can anyone recommenr a replacement for the ren toner? Has to be cheap like the ordinary or inkey or similar price brand, ideally.

Didn’t the very expensive Chanel AC have some silly stickers a couple of years ago? Imagine getting such an AC gifted to you and you find stickers in a couple of drawers!

Really like the Replica Fireplace from the JL but EDT....wondering where the projection was. :-( needs to be a spray not a dabber.

Btw, I took my JL FAC back into store without any issues and hopefully my replacement e-gift card will work.

For people who missed out on the JLFAC, some are being returned to store and could presumably be bought over the counter, (provided staff could find them and that stock levels are accurate!)

If you search on the JL site the a/c page doesn’t come up, as it is sold out and won’t be restocked. However, if you Google JL Fragrance Advent Calendar, this brings up the product page and you can then use the ‘search in store’ function.

My ‘not at all local’ store showed as having one FAC available this morning. An hour after I returned mine, two were showing - it seems likely that was my FAC which had been returned to the shop stock.

My JLFAC will get automatically returned tomorrow if I don’t collect it, but waiting to hear if @casuistic wants it. @casuistic if you have a local JL it might be worth checking if they have stock now! ☺️

I went into SNK today to se if I could find out any inside info about the new BAC.

Most of them didn’t know about it, a couple said they had read about it on social media but had no actual knowledge of what was likely to be in it.

Also returned the H&B calendar I had bought on a whim but which provided no dopamine whatsoever. And picked up the Boots skincare advent which might go the same way as H&B 🤣

I’m feeling a lot better having returned my JL FAC. I absolutely did not ‘need’ it and having smelled them all in store last week, I realised I disliked most of the perfumes.

There were one or two really nice ones, but I can’t remember which they were!

Hopefully someone will buy it who loves it!

Miss Boux has unboxed the Boots StyleKorean a/c on YouTube - looks good, so I'm glad I bought it!

I just picked up the BDK Gris Charnel I bought on Vinted from the JLFAC. I didn’t realise it was a dabber! Lovely scent but I’m sure the same size and shape bottle from the HFAC isn’t a dabber. Even more glad I won’t keeping the JLFAC now as if I really like Gris Charnel I’ll have to buy a spray.

@user593 its worth having a rifle through any travel sprays (perfume and face mists ). I found a couple that were screw lids which I cleaned and have worked for transferring dabbers. Probably a little evaporation but worked for me.

Impadia is a spray though isn’t it? The bottle looks exactly the same! It hadn’t occurred to me they’d be different.

Last year Smoking Rouge was in De Bijenkorf advent. Bought a couple of them and a seperate spray.

If you do, make sure you have a spray that you can pour the liquids in. I made the mistake of getting one and it turned out you need to put it on the bottle with the bottom lol.

Can someone please explain to me why the product reviews for this are being skewed by angry comments about AI?

I’m confused - I don’t really understand what the complainers are going on about 🤷‍♀️

Surely it’s what’s in the a/c that matters, or am I missing something really obvious?

Everything is under embargo, as usual with Space NK. I asked whether they’re still planning to release a fragrance advent calendar or if the luxury one is replacing it. They told me it’s under embargo, which isn’t a no in my book.

If you've seen the headlines recently you'll know there are lots of concerns about AI (an understatement). I personally despise AI, yes it has its uses but NOT for design or creativity (or interaction - the ChatGPT 'jokes' getting shared and laughed at on here are concerning). The fact that the brand made the design choice to use AI images rather than pay an artist or creative does reflect poorly on them. I think people are probably fed up and are making a stand any way they can. (However, I did buy it).

I didn’t receive an email. I was a deluxe tier ndulge for years, but let it lapse when I only had a hundred to spend to keep it. They had miffed me off with my account, not being able to spend my points, everything I tried to buy it declined unless I removed the credit. It took ages to sort out..they also used to be more generous with trials of products and good samples. The reviews now are all harvested, so useless, or paid for promotion. SNK used to be great, really at the top of their game. Now not so much, I still use them and have placed orders recently, but will shop around a lot more.

Mind blown... youre right it is! I prefer a spray but have got used to dabbers. Easier and less intrusive in the office.

A funnel and mini spray bottle set off Amazon is your friend here.

Thanks Mary, if SNK would bring 3 calendars this year at such price points they would leave me absolutely skint! 😱 but it still would be exciting to see the curation, and perhaps cherry pick items on ebay or vinted 🍒😍
