I really liked the Cowshed shower gel I got in an M&S beauty bag so if there is a serious reduction - and I do mean SERIOUS - I will be interested!

If it is I'll buy a second! Last year it only had the early-bird discount, nothing later on. This year I've bought mine with £30 early bird.

I see CowShed as a high-end everyday brand. I'm happy to pay as I will use/gift/ guest bathroom everything in it. I acknowledge you are paying a lot for a basket! This year the calendar seems more body-oriented, whereas last year there was a good amount of facial stuff as well. It's all got the new design style, so hopefully it's a fairly 'new' product.

Like many, I've put my proposed and purchased BAC through ChatGPT and weighted products I'll use vs ones I won't (bee venom). I acknowledge I should sell what I won't use, but I haven't started that yet... and the discount CowShed offered was worth it for me. If I can get selling I could justify more of the luxury high-end but for now I'm looking at £1 spent vs £1 I'll definitely use!

Am I being stupid or have Penhaligons not listed the contents of the advent calendar anywhere? I can see pictures on the website but no list of contents? I can’t work out what all the items are - surely it’s not too much to ask to expect a list? Unless I am missing something?

For bath and body? Aesop, Acqua di Parma, Necessaire, Susanne Kaufmann, Byredo, Diptyque, Penhaligons, Jo Malone and Jo Loves etc. Basically, if you can get it in Harrods or Selfridges (+/- Space NK or CB) and not in Boots it probably counts.

It's not a category I tend to splurge in tbf, I love the Necessaire body lotion but I'm just an Aveeno girl. It's almost as good so I can't justify the huge price increase for luxe.

What has been everyone’s ‘winners’ from the Harrods FAC? I’m a bit overwhelmed 😅

Most of the ones I kept I already knew I liked so the surprise winner was Memo. A lot of people seem to not like it but I thought it was lovely.

Cowshed were selling their calendars for £40 in December about four years ago, though they did switch out the most expensive serum which pissed lots of people off. I enjoyed all the little bottles of shower gel etc and it was still a bargain at that price.

Our friend Mary has some info in the Jarrolds BAC. Launch 25/09. From the photo’s I’m unsure. I can’t use Vit C, that nail varnish is very red! The sleep mask looks interesting to try but I will reserve judgement until a full reveal.

edited to say looking at the value of this I expect it will be sub £100 and if so I might be more tempted.

Does the Memo Paris last on you? I heard their fragrances don’t last well.

Not sure as I haven't worn it properly yet. Just tested on arm a couple of times. It seemed okay but not super strong.

Boots now sell Jo Malone. And I suspect they will have some regular promotions for it.
Does this mean Jo Malone is not luxury anymore?

Mine was Brompton immortals - did not expect to love it thought would be too masculine but I love it and hopefully get away with it as unisex.

Regards to the HFAC, I really prefer this Delina to the normal one. I haven’t tried all yet, but not sure on Gong, or the “sour milk one” migraine today stopped me from testing anymore. I was unsure whether to try the Memo or sell it after comments on horses and morgues 😂 It seems that a lot of the perfumes from the calendar aren’t selling for a high price apart from Brompton Immortals. I haven’t checked on Delina as I’m keeping that. 🥰

Checked through my Harrods BAC this evening and everything is present and correct, not damaged or leaking. It's a thing of beauty!

Also double-checked the Cult Beauty BAC and the Escentric molecutes 10ml that I thought was missing is in fact there. Oops. They responded to my annoyed complaint by refunding me 20% of the cost of the calendar, I feel bad. It covers the voucher they didn't send me so it's worked out.

I sold my Delina already. It sounds lovely but I really dislike the bottle and I can’t seem to get past it which is ridiculous I know! 😅 I really like the sound of Brompton Immortals for me (or for DP!) so I’ve hung onto those. Brompton Road is also an old stomping ground of mine so I like it for that reason also.
