It’s the fragrance line up in BT that caught my eye too. The skincare is also a stellar cast! I rarely wear makeup, so never really get the true value of those products in my (many many) ACs over the years. Can’t be bothered to sell. But skincare , hair and fragrance are an everyday! So this one syncs with me in a way no other does.

I'm doubtful the LF FAC has been despatched as its still showing as processing in my klarna account.

Mildred and I have Had Words over her propensity to glare at me over her glasses and point with thin-lipped disappointment at her clipboard. She now almost sanctions my shopping behaviour. Almost.

In truth I’m not sure I could justify this every year, but this is my first BAC year and I’m enjoying it. I work from home so no longer spend 4k a year on dodgy city centre car parks and end up working all hours so surely if there’s a time to go a bit mad, it’s now? I haven’t tried that spiel on Mildred but I can see the left eyebrow shooting skyward already…

@SunnyPinkMoose i have gone mental haven’t I! Yes we found the dodgy post office, it was three miles away from the google maps pin. Really weird little place, felt like the beginning of a horror film so not going there again.

Need a plan about opening it all and storage. I am preprogrammed to save things for best and I really don’t want to do that. 2027 should be a bustling Mardi Gras of skincare, I should be approaching my dressing table with interest and enjoying the luxury and excessiveness, otherwise what’s the point?

I didnt need to know that since i have been trying to avoid buying the boots fragrance calendar …(and also now eyeing up the JL Fac) ….BAC fatigue be gone ! BAC fever has returned !

@IlovePond I've tried MM By The Fireplace & on me it smells very much like Liz Earle No15 but more smokier.
It's woody boozy like you're wearing a white cashmere jumper but nothing else, sat in a big Chesterfield leather armchair in a wooden panelled library area in an old fashioned gentlemen's club, there's a fire roaring with a massive bunch of roses in a big vase & you have a rare single malt in an expensive crystal tumbler sat on the table by your side. Outside it's snowing. (Yes I know I have a vivid imagination 😂)

FM Carnal Flower on me smells like sex in a dustbin in a garden full of flowers lots of bees in the late afternoon. (Not that I've had sex in a wheelie bin - I don't think anyone could/would) so heavy Tuberose.

Fireplace tried in my local JL & Carnal was in Selfridges Trafford Centre.

For me, the lack of makeup is a major attraction too. I really don't need the fragrances as I have the HFAC and still have loads from last year's HNFAC and SNKFAC but I really like the idea of the BT ones. Is there a full list with sizes anywhere? I'm not convinced looking at the picture that the fragrance du bois is 75ml or the Ex Nihilo is 50ml. The Jo Malone looks like a 30ml and the santal 33 is 15ml.

I am looking at the Lyma and Bioeffect now you mentioned it - somehow skimmed past those as I've never heard of the brand. same with Valmont. Might have to spend some time tonight or tomorrow perusing all the contents in detail. I've mostly skimmed the advent releases this year as none caught my eye as easily as the Liberty one did last year.

@TracyBeakerSoYeah , your amazing description of By the Fireplace has made me dig out my sample. Now I'm by an imaginary fire in an oak panelled smoking room with leather chairs and the murmur of conversation in the background. Only it's a cold, foggy misty night where I am 🥃.

It is a lovely fragrance. I didnt appreciate the smell as much when I tried it during the summer months, but now I can really appreciate it.

lol. Me 2. I definitely don’t need the perfume either! I could open up my own boutique! Hahaha. But it’s those niche fragrances. FDB and ExNihilo. Seriously- Once bitten, forever smitten! Just have to have! Tho need to figure out how to hide it from my husband. Hope he’s not home when it’s delivered. The perplexed looks at my deliveries, I could really do without.

Ah that’s true. And hopeful! Surely it would be false advertising if they were going to give mini versions, when quoting full sized prices?
