What ballet flats are you buying for Autumn?

Considering these but they're expensive for what they are. But I want soft leather, and I like the elastic strap. Fed up of wearing trainers in the 'in between' season.

I’m wearing an old pair today, Clark’s circa 15 years old and have been commented on asking where I got them … trick is a non slip sole for autumn.

I wear Ballerette ballet flats all year round.

I am looking for a slingback ballet flat if anyone can help me?

Soft leather
Slingback (elastic or buckle)
Round toe (not pointy)
Soft sole (ideally beige or white rubber flat)
nude/pale pink/gold

If I was being super picky, the slingback would be small, by that I mean the leather from the toe would run quite far down the sides before the cutout rather than a slingback strap that starts just after the toe coverage. Don't know if that makes sense.

I am pretty sure I am going to have to make these out of papier mache or something (!) because I have been looking all year with no joy. If someone does come across anything remotely like that, please please link or PM! Thanks

I need more support than ballet flats and they make me think of the awful £4 pleather primark ones I lived in when I was young and poor!

What about Toms? I live in mine and they’re as comfortable as trainers but slip on easily.

I went with Birkenstock I really like them. I wear a lot of ballet type flat shoes as I can't tolerate boots (feet massively overheat)

they're not ballet flats, they're mary janes and ugly looking ones at that!

Those fit flops look like they have been designed by the NHS (as do most fit flops)

On nice autumn days I simply wear the same ballet flats I might have worn in summer or spring. I don’t own autumn specific ballet flats… But I do prefer loafers for autumn.

I'd agree - though not as orthopaedic as some of the other suggestions (all depends on whether comfort trumps style though). I think they look best in the olive green.

I havd old pairs of flats - black and navy - from M and S. They're so comfortable but the soles are starting to wear thin.

They are getting close. Toe is a weird shape though - very deep. They also have a hard sole. Too £££ for something that's not quite right. Thank you though!

Too square a toe? If you had to compromise (as you probably will), what would it be on? Colour, toe shape, sole type - height??

This is what I really had in mind - but slingback. This weight/toe shape/sole. This is Jones Bootmaker and I would have sucked up the lack of slingback for this one but they don't have my size anywhere (7).

I might have to compromise. Sometimes, in this world of excess and retail overload, it is hard to believe that the thing in your head might not actually exist!

Fly ones are really pretty. Not in my size though....

The only ballet flat I will consider and my DD will consider is the Porselli with a 0.5 cm heel. We stock up every year in Italy on several colours each.

I got a lovely pair of brown leather Ravel ones in tk maxx, they have a nice square toe and they are very soft. May not be fashion forward but I like them!

These in beige/neutral ...?? Decidedly orthopaedic though!
