What ballet flats are you buying for Autumn?

Considering these but they're expensive for what they are. But I want soft leather, and I like the elastic strap. Fed up of wearing trainers in the 'in between' season.

I think it's forecast to be a very wet and windy winter. Ballet flats will be very much not on the agenda. Boots all the way!

I have these from Fitflop and Ecco, I need to be able to walk 10,000 steps in my shoes or they just don’t get worn.

I don't find ballet shoes v useful to 'shove on' as they're a v specific look.

I wear good trainers in several colours, loafers (i have dark green & burgundy) derbies (black leather & black suede)

Trainers are an arse to get on and off though aren't they. ChatGPT informs me that ballet flats are very much 'in'. Not that I should really care at my big age.

How often are you taking your shoes on & off ?

I don't find my trainers particularly onerous to manage. I wear birkenstocks - sandals or slippers in the house & put my shoes or trainers on to go out. If i'm just going out to the garden then i leave my birkenstocks on

What are you wearing ballet shoes with? I think they have v limited options (for me) as i wouldn't wear with jeans or work trousers etc

I am considering a pair from bobbies with a block heel & i bought flat but pointy toes from jigsaw (technically not ballet shoes though)

I also have several pairs of ankle boots in ranging from cheslea to western styles in gold, snakeskin, burgundy suede, brown leather etc & wear them a lot in Autumn. They're pull on or short zip

I got a few pairs of M&S ones and two pairs of office ones. All more Mary Jane’s as they have a strap but I love them for work. Much smarter for the office than a trainer and great when I’m not quite ready for boots.

The ballet flats in the OP look orthopaedic and not in a good way. Sneakerinas are fugly. Boots and trainers for me. I don't like loafers.

I need some too, but for wearing with a dress indoors. My high heel days are over, sadly. Pastel colours with a bit of softness to the sole, as 'standard' ballet flats tend to have wafer thin soles.

Don't be put off by one person's opinion. I have these in the olive green, they are quite delicate, very pretty and very soft and comfortable. They're lovely.

not for me, although some of Mary Jane shoes can be good for autumn. What I’m looking for are some soft leather lace up ankle boots like a Victorian orphan might wear.
