Shiny new thread just in time for the new season - I'm thinking smoky, spicy gourmands as we head through autumn.

Old thread here

SOTE last night was Vyrao 6. Like it more than anything else from this range.

SOTD: finally got to try Debaser in Bloom. I like the figgy slightly metallic tang combined with the floral notes. Thumbs up from Dd and DH. Bought 2 samples from CB so will try a few more times over the next week and then maybe pick up a bottle on Vinted. Is it in any of this years FACs or BACs?

Mary46 · 19/09/2026 17:44

I bought Energetically New York in zara yesterday. Really nice.

Have done my seasonal ‘edit’, the freshies are packed away and the warm, spicy girls are ready for the winter. Eau Duelle was SOTD and I just love it so much, my perfect spiced vanilla. I have a handful of seasonal samples as well, but these five will be my regular rotation for the next couple of months.

Was in selfridges today so sniff tested the new TF tobacco chocolat which is lovely. Would get a sample but not tempted to get fb. Still prefer fig erotique.

Also tried the new maison crivelli tobacco carnival which again was nice. I was thinking I want to explore tobacco scents more and these two are new releases. Tempted to get a sample of the crivelli.

MiaN · 20/09/2026 06:37

I didn't like tabbaco chocolate at all. I love figue erotique. It's do individual- you can't really say we both like this and this so we have similar taste.

For first time in Lanzarote and not that excited about the perfume shops. They had some niche perfumes 2025 bit seems to have largely disappeared- at least where we are. And clearing up the perfumes, between not wanting to sell at this point of time is making me questioning myself. Do I have something that fits that mood already? Do I want to wear it for a week every day as its truly amazing? I smelled good few loewe but ultimately I lost interest in trying to find one that has place in my collection.

IDontHateRainbows · 20/09/2026 10:29

Ordered a 5ml of the new crivelli tobacco off ebay. In my defense I will sell the crivelli Tubereuse Astrale that was in the JL box to 'pay' for it so girl math saves the day.
Sot morning- zadig intense which is a comforting creamy vanilla. Also sprinted creed aventus for her which is more citrus.

Layers nicely

Thanks for the suggestion: have bought 7.5ml Debaser in Bloom for £8 on Vinted. Perhaps should have tried my sample more than once but I got overexcited 🤦‍♀️

How does everyone store their fragrances?

I have one shelve in my bookcase and I try to just have travelsizes with a few bottles but I went a bit overboard lately. Its looks so cluttery.

Today Velvet Aura. The fall is here

I use my old advent boxes. The Harrods FACs are ideal. And store under my dresser to keep out of the light and dh’s eyes.

potplantsinparadise · 20/09/2026 12:12

@MotherWol That arrangement looks so pretty! Love the little mother-of-pearl inlaid box - I had a jewelry box just like it years ago.

Hermes Rhubarb today for a last blast of summer. Whoever it was who tried the Prada rhubarb scent but found it didn't last - this one is virtually identical but with a bit more staying power.

Also eagerly awaiting Ffern Autumn 26 sometime this week too..

I use little plastic organizers off Amazon, majority of my collection is test tube size. Full bottles on a tray, not near a window. I want to be able to see them!

I also used an advent box but i took the doors/ boxes out so its more of a shelve idea. I was really hoping for a drawer box this year like the GB last year but alas.
Dont you forget what you have though if you cant see them?

Some are in a cupboard in the spare room. Others are in a drawer under the bed. Then there are some in a bathroom cupboard (our bathroom stays cool.)
I have a list so can sort of keep track!

IDontHateRainbows · 20/09/2026 13:33

Mugler alien extraintense this afternoon. Fell in love with this a couple of years back and found 10ml size on notino. Gorgeous powdery jasmine scent. Best of the aliens!

I had a bit of safran secret on earlier from a test spritz and they combine really well...accidental pairing!

The in season on shelf inside wardrobe. The rest on IKEA Alex 9 drawer unit - 1 of the smaller and two of of the larger drawers out of 9, trying to contain myself! I use the boxes of advent calendars to organise them
I have few in bedside locker too.

Until a couple of weeks ago very messily and disorganised but I bought an Alex dresser from Ikea and on the top of the dresser I added this.
https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/ekby-alex-shelf-with-drawers-white-20192828/

I've put plastic containers in the two drawers and added all my travel sizes and samples. I bought a tray to sit on top of the dresser that fits 5 or 6 full sizes which I'm planning to rotate periodically so I use stuff more evenly.

EKBY ALEX white, shelf with drawers, 119x29 cm - IKEA UK

EKBY ALEX allows you to keep items visible on the open shelf, and hide away things you need close at hand. Drawer stops prevent it from being pulled too far.

paristotokyo · 20/09/2026 14:35

I just store mine in my bedroom cupboard in Ikea boxes and the ones I use less/not keen on, live in an old Liberty gwp box (pretty and sturdy) in a drawer. I did leave a few small travel/sample sizes accidently in the bathroom when we were away for the whole of summer, and I’ve noticed a change in one of them (le labo eucalyptus which is one my favourites, nooo! Luckily only 15ml bottle with about 5ml left…).

IDontHateRainbows · 20/09/2026 17:05

Funnily enough I just bought a stackers box today from John Lewis for my tiny samples - also has room for a couple of bigger ones. I end up with loads of the teenies in random places and then forget where they are so this should help .

The ones I’m currently using are on the little Perspex shelf (Muji CD holder), samples and out of season bottles are in a pretty chocolate box. My collection is still small though so it currently fits!

In a life of a thousand perfumes ( well i dont quite have that many although it can feep like it) there is one i return to again and again, never tiring of it.

What can it be I hear you say! It's Byredo Mojave Ghost. The only perfume ive ever had 2 x fb of. I graduated to the absolu when it was launched but love both absolu + original.

This is the perfume I would be buried in ( do they even allow that?) And is my scent of the evening.

For those unfamiliar it is indescribable but light, musky, slightly fruity and unlike anything else.

QueefofSheena · 20/09/2026 20:39

I keep mine in an old bow fronted cocktail cabinet that was MIL's by my dressing table. I have orange fairy lights in it for winter

paristotokyo · 21/09/2026 03:14

I had mojave ghost @IDontHateRainbowsbut after a brief sniff I decide to sell my small dabber bottle. Wish I had given it a chance now as it sounds like something I’d like. I do quite like a lot of Byredo fragrances but find the longevity poor. I’d quite like to be buried in gypsy water 😂 in fact it’s next on my full size buy list.

OvaHere · 21/09/2026 09:32

Wearing the Memo scent from Harrods FAC today. Sorry, I can't remember the name of it.

It didn't seem to be a popular one but I really like it. Sweet vanilla and leather. It reminds me of a childhood memory I can't quite place but it's a comforting scent.
