Chin hairs

What fresh hell is this. I’m finding little hairs in places I didn’t before which need to be plucked out. In the right (wrong) lighting I can see a few fine hairs. Not enough for a beard by any stretch but this is not a problem I’ve had until recently.

I’m only in my mid-30s, I didn’t expect this for at least another 15 years.

Please tell me I’m not alone and how do you get rid of them!

My mum still thanks me for spotting her first chin hair when we were in the car about 30 years ago. There's something about light in the car that highlights every flaw - my neck looks like a scrotum if I catch a glimpse of it in the passenger side mirror.

I had read something about this before so it's very possible. I couldn't believe the difference in strength with the Braun IPL v Lumea, the Braun really pings whereas I always used the Lumea on full settings and it didn't ping as much.

I always say that the Lumea saved my life, because I had to shave my legs every live long day before the Lumea and now it's hardly ever.
But I do wonder if it wasn't strong enough to kill the hair follicles on my face and therefore they convert to white.

Seriously some scientist somewhere needs to invent an IPL device that deals with white and red hair because it's needed!

A little TCA peel would fix that. I do an at home TCA peel once a year and it completely removed a couple of spot marks on my chin. Plus it takes away any fine lines I have.
You look like a zombie for a week though. It really gave me an insight into what someone with any kind of burns or disfigurement might experience because people are so unbelievably rude and stare (women and men) blatantly so if you ever do one, pick a week where you don't need to go out.

Start low and keep low until you are ready to move up. 10% is all you need to begin with. There are lots of tutorials on youtube but really learn about it first before doing and the implications because you're literally burning a couple of layers of skin off your face.

The results are worth it.

Gua sha and microneedling do though

I find they grow daily, but if I'm not going out anywhere in public, I will leave them a couple of days because they are easier to pluck. My DD 55, just gone through the menopause,has darker hair,told me she shaved. Last weekend I asked her what type of razor, she uses a scalpel. She said you have to practice on a kiwi (the fruit, not a native of NZ) and she still occasionally nicks herself.
