What dresses are you all wearing?

Most of my Summer clothes no longer fit and I desperately need a couple of cool, floaty dresses and some shorts that are not too short.

What have you all bought recently that you’ve loved?

I really need some inspiration.

I wore this for the first time over the weekend and so many people complimented it. It's very cool and floaty. And it's on sale. It also comes in a plainer blue colour which I'm tempted by.

The Sweaty Betty Explorer Ace midi dresses are fab - my go-to when I want to feel comfortable and cool. I’ve got it in lots of different colours as they pack really well for holidays too.

I’ve got a White Stuff voucher for £60 left from my birthday back in March - I very much like that dress!! 😁

Rua Jersey is my favourite. I have a collared one, a 3/4 sleeved one for Spring/Autumn, and a couple of sleeveless ones for summer all in different patterns. Love them!

Rua Jersey Shirt Dress in PINK MULTI

Shop the Rua Jersey Shirt Dress in PINK MULTI. We've brought it back again. Love it for its super soft fabric, flattering midi length and the charming, vibrant floral pattern. A style that's always in bloom.

I've got that! fell in love with it a while back and of course it was too cold to wear it when I bought it so it is having a few outings now

TheyGrewUp · 25/05/2026 22:24

@Ohfudgeoff love the Rua dress. I have 2 summer ones and two long sleeved winter ones. Plainer fabrics though.

I'm going to be on of those annoying people who comes onto S&B to disagree completely with the OPs style choices. I'm really sorry! But I've been wearing h&m straight leg linen trousers (I think the ones I'm in are blended with cotton) and they are now my hot weather choice. Cool and floaty but not in any danger of flapping about when a breeze gets up and no risk of my thighs rubbing together.

Dresses though I like uniqlos cotton midi ones. Heavy enough that they are not se through but cool and easy to chuck on. Might get that Rua one though, my wardrobe is lacking a printed dress.

I have a couple of these, one in navy one in olive, which doesn’t have the buttons at the front. I also have a jersey strappy version in olive. They are very comfy on and cool.

Thank you so much- that’s a great price for me+em - just ordered!

I really like Me + Em's cheesecloth dresses in hot weather. I have a few different ones from past seasons (all bought on eBay/Vinted), in black, navy & green.

There are several versions this year, such as this one - worth looking for in the sales/preloved.

I don't wear dresses and don't own one. Currently wearing cotton ankle-grazers in light khaki, cream linen sleeveless top and Piccolinos roman sandals. I'm off work today, so pottering around and contemplating going out for brunch.

A Wrap London linen/cotton kaftan style dress in cream that I've had for years that DH calls my Jesus dress.
Another Wrap one in a burnt orange crinkle cotton that I bought off eBay last year.
A Fat Face white linen sleeveless dress purchased from Tk Maxx a few years ago.
Zara cotton dress in umber.

I love dresses, just so easy to wear. Currently wearing a cream linen dress from Free People. From last year but looks like this one.

Do the trousers crease much or are they easy wearing, like a wash and toss it on?

I bought a beautiful linen dress from Jigsaw, gorgeous red shade, great fit from the pin tucks. It’s a winner for me!

There’s a shorter version and a top in the same style but different colours.

Ooh I love this dress but I'm waiting for the sales. I unfortunately can't justify the £175 price tag at the moment.
