Do you get your nails done all the time?

I’ve had BIAB on for around a year now with mostly only infills. I removed them as I’m wanting to try another salon. When I first took them off they were long and looked ok but over the last week they have broken really low down to the point they’ve been bleeding and sore. Do you think I should give BIAB a rest for a good while now?
do you get your nails done or leave them?

Nah. I prefer to save the money to get my roots done.

I've had shellac done and BIAB but they all seem to destroy my nails. Strange, as they are naturally quite strong without it. Hate the way they file down the surface of the nail and the drill thing is awful. I once left a salon with my cuticles bleeding! Was too upset to complain. Tried nail wraps too but they also weakened my nails.

Earlier this year i bought an advent calendar of nail products on sale for 50% off (Manicurist), containing polishes and oils and stuff. It's excellent and will last for years.

If they are filing your nails and being too heavy handed with the drill then you are using the wrong salon.

i go to a girl who has all the proper training, she has never filed the surface of my nails and doesn’t use a drill.

i was a nail biter and my naiks were shot to pieces, weak, brittle and horrid. Now when she takes the BIAB off my nails feel much stronger.

however I do wear gloves to do dishes and cleaning, I’m now a lot more aware of my hands when doing housework or DIY. I use cuticle oil morning and night and really look after my hands,

I will never have gel or BIAB nails again, I had strong nails before I decided to get a gel manicure and it ruined them...lost 3 toenails and my fingernails are just getting back to normal after 2 years. Only had them as I went on a 4 week holiday and wanted something lasting...never again

get mine done regularly, but if your nails are breaking so low they're bleeding and sore, I'd definitely give BIAB a break for a few weeks. Focus on nail oil and a strengthening treatment until they recover, then see how they feel before reapplying anything.

I leave mine but I really like having them super long. I can’t type with them though so I can’t work. I’d have them done on a Friday night and rip them off Sunday night. £35!!! I stopped doing that months and months ago. I miss my claws.
