Sandals for a funeral

I'm not talking glittery flip flops but black leather buckle ups . Worn with trousers …

I’ve worn black Birkenstocks to a summer funeral. It’s fine!

I have never really thought about what others might think of my funeral shoes, boots or sandals, I just wear what is appropriate for the weather.

It depends on the class of the funeral really. The upper middle classes still wear black and it’s more formal. Others prefer colour and informality. But - they do not mix! It’s one or the other.

I wore sandals to my mums funeral.
to be honest I couldn’t tell you anyone’s footwear to any funeral I’ve ever been to. Surely no one’s looking?
