Removing microbladed eyebrows - URGENT

TryAndGetOutOfThat · Yesterday 15:26

Has anyone had microbladed eyebrows removed? I had microblading done on Tuesday, and the brows are odd - one higher, arched, thin and light. The other is short, curved, dark and diferent altogether. I rang the salon the next morning and spoke with the woman who did it (she owns the salon). After a great deal of hostility from her, she asked me to go tomorrow morning ao that she can "sort it out". Googling it, it seems that the best method would be lasering, but I'm worried.

As it’s still very new the most likely option to remove at this stage is with saline. You could also just do everything they tell you not to do - washing, sauna etc which will lift the ink but they could fade in patches.

The difference in colour could be down to healing differently so they might not be as mismatched in colour as you fear. You might have the type of skin that doesn’t hold ink which would help fade them - I had mine done 4 years ago and after 6 months you’d never know anything had been done despite me taking every care with them.

Laser won’t be doable until your skin has healed - currently you essentially have lots of micro cuts on your eyebrows.

Thanks. If one was darker than the other, it wouldn't be such a problem. One eyebrow is arched (I specifically told her I didn't want arched brows), but a lot (very noticable) higher and thinner than the other brow. They look ridiculous. I'm so pissed off - I'd been thinking about having it done for years, and went to what appears to be a decent salon. I'm going on holiday (not been away for 8 years) in 2 weeks!

Oh poor you - that’s very stressful. Keep washing them, see what they say tomorrow.

If you are going on a sun holiday that’s actually ideal for fading them - sun, sea water and sweating will weaken the pigment.

Thanks. he woman was extremely unprofessional when I rang her - shouted and ranted on the phone, said I'd upset her! She fobbed me off by saying she'll see me in 6 weeks. It was only after I emailed her to say how unhappy I am that she relented and offered to see me tomorrow. She's told me to keep wiping them with a damp cloth, 5 times a day. I keep wishing the holiday would be cancelled.

If she didn’t do your eyebrows well in the first place and she ranted at you on the phone there is no way I’d be going back for round 2 of her fuck ups! I would bathe them regularly but would be trying to do anything else and certainly not lasering. Has she said what she plans to do?

NewGoldFox · Yesterday 16:06

Would you consider uploading a picture?

TryAndGetOutOfThat · Yesterday 16:20

She hasn't said what she plans to do (I doubt she's got a plan). She said she'll refund me - I should think so, but then what?? Tried uploading photos, but for some reason they won't add - I'll try later. I don't know where to go or what to do now to remedy the brows.

I think you should ask for your money back and go somewhere else to have them looked at.. I'd have no trust in someone who has reacted this way to a customer.

GameOfJones · Yesterday 16:28

Oh I'm so sorry this has happened and I definitely would be getting my money back if possible and wouldn't go anywhere near her if she's so hostile and aggressive.

The lady that does mine is amazing so if you're anywhere near the home counties I can give you her details. I know she's had to rectify a few horror stories from other providers before but I agree at this stage saline is a good bet and getting them wet, saunas etc. I was stupid and picked the scabs on mine when they were first done and they definitely healed much lighter where I did that so if you do all the things they say you shouldn't hopefully that will help.

momager22 · Yesterday 16:31

Agree get your money back and go somewhere better for advice or correction.
take photos and show her the photos and tell her you’ll be leaving the photos on review sites if she doesn’t refund you
in the mean time can you even them out slightly with brow pencil?

EspanaPorfavor · Yesterday 16:36

I’ve had old microblading laser off and it only took one session but it was already quite faded. But with what you have I don’t think you can laser them just yet - I agree that getting them wet, sauna, sweating is probably the best way to heal them lighter. Another practitioner may be able to even them up a bit too. Maybe they aren’t as bad as you think and it is a case of settling down/getting used to them? Difficult to tell without a picture…

Lostallhistory · Yesterday 16:40

I'd be careful of trying anything now as she might say that it's you that has ruined them . I'd go for a refund.

BrightRobin · Yesterday 16:41

Call up a tattoo parlor /parlors, explain the situation and ask if they can go over it with saline. This has to be done very quickly, before healing starts, but it is probably your best option.

OVienna · Yesterday 16:50

Go back, get the refund, and go somewhere else.

Get the refund and go somewhere else to get them sorted. She sounds completely unprofessional and incompetent.

Blueuggboots · Yesterday 16:54

If you’re in the midlands, I know an excellent artist who often sorts out previous mistakes.

Blueuggboots · Yesterday 16:55

(Other people’s mistakes I mean!!!)

Did you not have them drawn on and shape agreed before the actual tattoo?

Bristolandlazy · Yesterday 17:04

I would get a refund and leave a bad review with photos. She's not delivered what you asked for. She's wasted your time, money, blown your confidence in the procedure and left you with brows you aren't happy with. She's been incredibly unprofessional and rude too.
Have you good a fringe? Thinking maybe you could add a fringe possibly, please ignore it a stupid suggestion
. Good luck.

DON'T LET HER TRY AND RECTIFY THEM.

Tontostitis · Yesterday 17:04

Your eyebrows are sisters not twins give them time to settle down and you'll feel different. I was horrified when I first had mine done now I love them

AzureLurker · Yesterday 17:08

What were they like immediately after the appointment? The shape will shrink over the days after as it heals, the colour comes back into the scabs and then sinks back down. What you are doing with bathing them often is correct aftercare, if you are rough and or intentionally pick off any scabbing you would likely remove some of the ink but it would likely end up patchy. A few days in mine looked like pencil lines/90s Pammy baby brows. You should have a top-up appointment booked in as procedure anyway and the shape and colour can be adjusted at this point. This is normal.
But no you shouldn't have been shouted at, not a good look for her.

LackOfSpace · Yesterday 17:12

Be wary of doing as some have suggested, like sauna, sea, etc.
You essentially have lots of micro wounds throughout the eyebrows, the last thing you want is an infection.

Dizzydrizzy · Yesterday 17:29

I would leave them alone until you go back

Blodyneighbour · Yesterday 17:39

Warm salt water can lift the dye from the skin. Its quite safe too. Maybe try that first while theyre new. Its basically a saline solution
