I bought this little Parfums de marly athenais set on vinted, it's only a 5ml plus a little keyring. The perfume is really nice so I don't think it'll last long. Unfortunately, I don't have the pennies for a full size bottle right now so the 5ml will have to do 😕

@JoRaRaRa am I right in thinking you got the YSL Vestaire collection? I have a birthday coming up and wondering about getting the current offer/ GWP. I used to love Cinema. Thoughts on it?

Yes, I did buy it. I've yet to receive it though. I love cinema! I have actually just unwrapped a new (but old) bottle. My grandma bought me a big bottle of it before she suddenly passed away, it's taken me 10 years to finally open it but it still smells gorgeous. I have quite a few ysl fragrances, I've never been a fan of libre, but I like the berry crush one, I'm a big fan of mon Paris and magnifique (but I don't think they sell that anymore) and black opium glitter. I'm hoping I love the ones in the collection, I'd also like to try lavalliere, which is a rose fig mix and I think I'd like it but it's a big spendy.

thats lovely, and a heirloom. I wish I had an old new bottle. They are ££ on vinted. I’ll wait a few days to see how I feel. I was going to add a fancy lip balm on but I don’t need anymore of those either!

I got to smell this last week. It has a very similar vibe to quite a few other scents. I'm trying to remember which as I did smell some I thought were similar and possibly not as expensive. I think Prada Paradoxe is the one it gets compared to most.

Yeah, I've seen a lot of comparisons with Prada paradoxe. The Prada stand is opposite the pdm one in Harrods, or at least it was a few weeks ago. I sprayed them on each arm, I thought the pdm one was softer but it lasted much longer. That said, I'm going to get a fs of paradoxe as it is a great alternative and much more affordable. I have a few other pdm 5mls from the advent calendar so the keyring will definitely come in handy.

I was a popular lady in the office today as I took the BDK samples from the recent parfum muse sample bags in and everyone loved them! Was wearing Impadia myself. The office absolutely reeked but in a good way.

Now home and put some valaya exclusif on. It's nice but a bit TOO powdery in the dry down. Prefer normal valaya I think.

My SOTD has been Bruno Fazzolari Au Dela Narcisse Des Montagnes. I was introduced to this by the wonderful Lizzie Ostrom about 10 years ago, she gave me a sample at an event and then I asked my husband to buy it as my Christmas present. I love it very much.

I would happily buy more of the essence box not sure if they will reduce it. It's excellent value even with the 30% off they had at easter, I would definitely buy a few.

I am now seriously lusting after the Ex Nihilo Extraits set. It's not purse friendly so this will go on the long term lust list. I've just spent a fair whack on liberty kits/gwps. Hopefully that will give me some liberty credit and if they then do a 20% off thing in a month or two it may become a possibility .

Been seriously impressed with Ex Nihilo lately. After thinking i didn't like them, blue talisman and outcast blue have really hit the spot for me. Outcast blue is particularly lovely, I got the travel size extrait in the recent woody set from liberty.

SOTE Vetiver Extraordinare from Frederic Malle which was another one in the woody set. Hmmmm, not a favourite but ok to try. I've never really 'got' vetiver to be honest. Guess we can't like everytihng.

I didn't expect to like Blue Talisman but I do. I already had 5ml of Gold Immortals Extrait so I knew I liked that one, I get a really lovely pear note from it, and was toying with a full size purchase.

IIRC correctly they said the difference in the Fleur Narcotique EDP vs Extrait is the extrait has a blackberry rather than raspberry note. I think it's a similar thing with Lust in Paradise but I've forgotten the details. I like both a lot.

The Hedonist is the only one I'm unsure of but I'll give it a fair chance.

I like Hedonist, it was in the recent selfridges kit. It was when I was early into my freshies exploration phase. If I've learnt one thing from the perfume journey of the past 1.5 years it's that yesterday's yuk is today or tomorrow's yum, scents I didn't like at all I now have befriended. Equally some I have gone off, like the cloying gourmands I was in to last year but that coudl be a seasonal thing.

Tried my recent boy smells haul. This brand had a relaunch last year and isn't quite the same now. Like they sold the name but the perfumers are different?
Anyway I like 2 out of the 4 of them. From space nk who accept open returns so may send the other 2 back.
Violet Ends is my favourite. Coco cream.is nice but very fleeting. Woodphoria im not getting on with as its not very woody and a strange sweetness that doesn't really work. Hinoki Fantome very smoky, not great.

All in all I think boy smells has sold out. This is a mid range house around the level of phlur and Ellis Brooklyn. I enjoyed the vanilla era I got a while back but I'm not that fussed about buying from them again. Feel a bit ripped off if im honest.

The 50% off code is now working on the perfume society and does include the essence deluxe set. It makes it a really good price 😍 I really like the set so I can recommend it.
