@faustina The basket bag is lovely. I already have a large French market bag which does a good job but the Toast one seems unusually nice.

Excited to see new things

Ive ordered the Market Fish print Dress and the Table Setting Dress
The Ghia fruit shirt ( probably wont like this but scratching an itch for a shirt with lemons on)and the Stripe Patchwork print top in cornflower
Sorely tempted by the Market fish top but possibly fish overkill? 😂
Have been very ill so this is my first order for ages .

@CoasttoToast I hope your fish and lemons and lovely purchases help you feel a bit better. I’d love to see what you think of them.

I’m really liking the look of both the white cotton voile dress and the blue cotton ikat dress. Dresses with sleeves!! I’ve ordered a dress from Whistles which is arriving tomorrow so I’ll see if that’s a keeper then decide which of the two new Toast ones to order. £255 tho 😵‍💫😬

I also love the watering can and utility bucket - so cheery. This new drop is the nicest for ages!

@Saurus72 have you thought more over the dresses. I like the two that you also mentioned that you liked. I’m thinking most likely I would prefer either of these because of the sleeves and casual feeling they evoke. Really like the white dress. I imagine if I don’t choose it that I’ll think about it even more. I would like a light coloured dress or floaty skirt for this summer.
If it doesn’t look like I’ll get into a shop this weekend then it’ll be a few weeks likely before I’ll get there. So won’t get to try them on for a while. I might be tempted to just order the white, since I think that’s really the one I want. Mainly because it’s white and floaty and not the price 😱

I popped into the Lamb’s Conduit street Toast today as I had some lunch nearby. They had the basket bag and have popped it on my wish list, it’s really nice, really sturdy. I also loved the cotton scarf with the illustrations - it reminds me of a child’s drawings (but I think in a very good way) and will bring me great joy. The materials of the white embroidered dress and top is so soft, but it creases sooooooo easily which really put me off as I don’t even own an iron. But really lovely pieces. The fish print was better than online, a bit lighter in colour, and again, so soft and nice to the touch. Lastly, the sleeveless green block print dress and the seersucker navy one (very thin material on this one) had such a free, floaty quality to them - reminded me a little of the linen Pond. I really don’t need more sleeveless dresses though.

Very keen to hear about the white embroidered dress. Might to and make it to Cheltenham store this weekend.

I’m going to try get to a shop Sunday. If I don’t, then I think I’ll order the white dress, just to see.

Oooh those dresses sound lovely @CakeAndJazz . Just what I want for a hottish holiday. Why oh why do they not drop everything at once? I am so tempted.

My joy was shortlived
The colours of the fruit shirt appear to have been chosen from one half of the colour wheel so there is no complementary contrast and I found it rather dull .
A large bunch of grapes on my chest made it a definite return

The Patchwork check top
Lovely blue but sadly they appear to have forgotton to accomodate a bust and the front pulls up badly , Im not even busty either
Its very short so the effect looks strange.
Also the top I was sent had some splodges that are from the dye but would look like grease marks .
Sizing up wouldnt work as I wouldnt want it any wider or the armholes any deeper

I also went to a store this lunchtime for a try on. I am not a dress wearer usually but will be in a couple of hot places this summer so thought I should have a look at the new ones.
I found the fish print to be less pleasing in real life, I like the darker colour it appears on screen. The white dress is beautiful but did nothing for me shape-wise. It would have been a very impractical buy anyway. I bought the seersucker dress, sized up for airiness, but when I tried it on again at home in better light I realised it is completely see-through, my whole body and underwear can be seen through it! I thought the fabric would be perfect for holidays, but now I’m thinking it might need to go back. I also tried the white embroidered shirt but the neck was too high on me. Still thinking about the fish print top perhaps, I found the fabric too overwhelming in the dress (and the style didn’t suit me). I was hoping to see the straw bag but they had already sold out. I might order that

I love peas and bookmarks so that has cheered me up

I tried the Tablier stripe shirt in both S and M - disappointingly the M was huge and the S pulled across the bust. I quite like the indigo striped top from the new drop, which looks like the same design as the gathered neck shirt I bought last year.
I also like the kindred gift, although I hadn’t noticed the bookmark.

@CoasttoToast bookmark? I can’t find mine 😭 was it amongst the pages?
I’ve dried some flowers in a newly acquired press to start to put some in it.

Agree about the patchwork top. Definitely doesn’t work with a bust. And the neck is very high . I’m sure someone could advise what to do about that 😁

@ScallopShellWalk Frustratingly my Whistles dress hasn’t arrived yet so don’t know if it will be good or not. Might go to the Cambridge store over the next few days to try on the 2 dresses. If one of them (hopefully not both) is perfect then £250 is defensible as I wear my Toast dresses for years on end. I can rarely say that - I have some from Sezane that have been great, but not often. Will update if/when I try!
