I have no idea why Toast are going for the LLandeilo shop again @mizu - as you say, it’s tiny.

Fortunately, hardly anyone turned up to the one there last summer - it was nearly all local customers known to the staff when I visited. If people turn up in larger numbers, it will be a bun fight!

My Reworn order arrived:

Linen check skirt - going back as the tiny check pattern hurts my eyes
Cotton jumpsuit - I like this a lot but it’s too tight on top, unfortunately
Linen grey dress - I am keeping this as I have the matching jacket. It isn’t very flattering due to the weird placement of the tiers, and is actually a bit big on top, but it is a good length on me, (ankle), and looks nice with a jumper over the top

I’m off to Shepton Mallet later in the week and will report back on anything exciting in the reduced section!

Btw: Does anyone have this jumpsuit?

Loop Back Jersey Jumpsuit

The one I have just tried from Reworn is too tight on the chest and torso but I was wondering if it might stretch with wear.

I don’t want to send it back if it will get looser after being worn for a while.

Thanks

@IlovePond where did they announce? Can’t see sample sale info on TOAST Llandeilo.

I posted earlier on wrong thread......
I bought the Cosmic Print column dress from Toast last year, to wear to my wedding, next month, Apr. 30th. Last week I took it to an (untried) seamstress to have the sleeves taken up slightly; she's butchered it. Lumpy gathering, unfinished stitching, one sleeve 'hitched up' so it hangs badly. I moved a few months ago; don't know any seamstresses. I should have taken something to her that didn't matter, see if she was skilful/careful. It also has marks on it, looks like it's been kept next to a waxed jacket or similar whilst in the shop. I was furious, and somewhat upset. Don't know what to do; try to rectify it? Wear it as it is? Try another seamstress? Does anyone have one I could buy?

IlovePond · 30/03/2026 21:54

@venus7 - that’s so upsetting. If you have a Toast shop nearby they might be able to do something with it via their mending service.

@mizu - it’s buried on the Toast main website under events.

Thank you, good idea; no Toast shops nearby, I'm in Cornwall.

I loved so much about the Donegal cardigan (sale) but can’t stand the bat like wings on it (the arms meet the body about two thirds the way down the cardigan length). With my arms down it’s gorgeous but with my arms up I get ready to flap away. The arms are unnecessarily baggy too, which makes it so unversatile for wearing a coat over. My huge brown and white Donegal cardigan/jacket has this issue (so chunky ) that it gets worn less than it could in winter.

quilted navy shirt was lovely but… a hugely exaggerated long scoop on the back? Looked like it was trying to be a tunic at the back and a shirt at the front. A shame.

the tretorn boots have already had me squishing through the mud in my local river walk. They make me tall! A little big but I’m inbetween sizes and toast don’t do half’s. Might get insoles.

I bought the stripe t shirt (non sale) and have worn it four times already. It’s perfect in so many ways. I feel like my 5 yo self and also a cool teen and also neat and smart.

@venus7 - there is a great Facebook Toast Buy/Sell group (admins are current/previous posters on these threads). If you are looking to buy, you could post a query.

@venus7 How horrible for you, the seamstress sounds very sloppy.
I have that Cosmic dress too, it’s so unusual.
Toast brought out the same shape in a different print, the Vespertine Column Dress , it was blackish with quite arty dark red flowers,( but not at all girly flowers) and it went in the sale that finished last week.
If it interests you at all you could call Customer service to explain your predicament and see if they have it in your size ., and just maybe they would have the Cosmic print…..

Thank you; she was completely careless.
I like the Vespertine, but the Cosmic Print is because my beloved is a stargazer.......it seems romantic, to have this print.
Toast do have it in my size, but that's doubling the price of the dress, and I would still have the sleeve issue.
Just spoken to a lovely seamstress, she understood completely. She's just retired due to ill health. ..........

TosstTastic · 31/03/2026 15:17

I give you permission @venus7 to buy the dress again and have a second go at getting it altered. It is your wedding and it's so hard to find just one 'perfect' dress let alone two.

Niminy · 31/03/2026 17:11

Visited the Toast shop in York today - my once-yearly visit - and it was very busy, I was slightly intimidated by a very tall, very beautiful woman trying on all sorts of clothes I could never wear at 5’2” and looking wonderful in them.

Nevertheless I let the staff encourage me to buy a pair of Carys trousers in soft black (supposed to be cropped but full length on me, pretty creased from the storeroom but responded well to a press when I got home) and a boat neck t shirt in black. I really like the shape of the trousers, pleats lie nicely and the tuck at the bottom of the leg means the volume is shaped. The elastic on the waist means they fit neatly but comfortably and they don’t have a dropped crotch. As I wear black for work these will be very useful and worth the spend. (If Toast did more black clothes the financial hit would be considerable.)

Thank you; that is appreciated. I'm leaning toward not, though it is my insurance policy. Can't justify spending that, and I still would have to find a good seamstress, and the joy has gone out of it a little.......I'm still cross!
I hoped Toast would offer to repair it, I think.
It's my second wedding; I was widowed twenty one months after the first one, so I'm being philosophical; the dress is not the main thing.

IlovePond · 31/03/2026 22:17

Hi, the Toast site is glitching tonight and I can’t get a return label for my Reworn returns.

Does anyone know if Reworn items can be returned to store? If so, I could take them back tomorrow.

Thanks

@venus7 wishing you every luck in getting the dress fixed, and that you have a lovely wedding day. As you say, the dress is not the main event.

I have been looking at the new collection preview via the Toast email sent out, but the pictures are a tantalising tease as you can’t glean too much. I love the look of the button up collared short sleeve knit and the patterned blue dress: roll on Thursday.

Belated checking in with a report back on my sales purchase, all of which were successful. The stipe cotton gathered smock top in blue was always a keeper as I have the rust version and love it. Some double faced PJs in clay/grey were not exciting but safe and comfortable. The. Ffion cashmere boxy cardie in lawn green is the winter version of a linen cardie I bought last year and ticks a box in my green biased wardrobe. The Japanese denim coat is beautifully cut and while I don’t strictly need it, I couldn’t bear to part with it. I had tried the brushed mohair pattern yoke in peacock in store at the beginning of the winter and had been patiently waiting for its sale appearance.

I made a late purchase of the bushed linen cotton herringbone trousers and matching top, both of which exceeded expectations. I will get a lot of wear out of the trousers in particular. I also bought the botanical shadow print dress in blue, already having it in green: at £55 it seemed too good to pass by. I wore it to work the next day with the cord belted dress in navy from the Christmas sale over the top, unbuttoned, as an ‘indoor coat’: got lots of complements at work!

OftenOrange · 31/03/2026 23:46

@ToastCosILoveIt That’s a lovely collection you chose from the last sale, good to hear of success and also interesting to know that others too keep something they don’t need because it’s just too good to part with.
@IlovePond I return renown to store , it’s been fine.

ScottishMouse · 01/04/2026 06:11

I didn’t get a preview email @ToastCosILoveIt although I did last month. I hoping for some lovely new things tomorrow as I have some wardrobe gaps to fill for spring/summer.

Countmeout · 01/04/2026 07:33

There’s a live on Thursday too I think. And then one later in April for the new drop. The blue patterned top seems to be on the live . I think it might be useful for me.

ScottishMouse · 01/04/2026 07:55

Thanks @Snowyowl78 I hope that orange knit comes in navy, grey or black, it looks lovely, but I cannot be drawn out of my now almost exclusively neutral coloured wardrobe.

I’m looking forward to seeing the grey and ecru stripe skirt that appears styled with the new hemp tee. Looks from the preview that it also has a shirt or dress version.

I’m also hoping for a simple unembellished jacket, though I am realising that 99% of Toast jackets don’t work for me as they are cut too neat on the shoulders. I went to store last week and tried on nearly every jacket there with no success. I am hoping they will do the linen cotton wrap jacket in soft black later in the season….hope you’re listening Toast!!

Snowyowl78 · 01/04/2026 08:15

There’s a couple of new things today (only 2 I can see!) a waistcoat in ‘fennel seed’ and a jacket in ‘warm sand’
