@Theteapotsbrokenspout ooo they look lovely. I hope mine look as nice when they get put up.

CakeAndJazz · 24/03/2026 17:55

Those curtains were such a good find!

My Donegal cardigan arrived yesterday. It’s really nice and the brown flecks throughout really work for me. Am just really wondering if I should keep it - I am really trying not to buy out of season as it’s really not been great for me in the past. I’m so tired of wearing wool at the moment even though it’s still chilly some days but mentally I’m really quite over it.

ScallopShellWalk · 24/03/2026 18:27

@CakeAndJazz I feel this way. Even buying in season I sometimes go off my knits by the following winter. I may still wear them but I don’t quite love or like them as much. Luckily for me I’m still wearing jumpers every day so I will get some wear. But it’s just as easy to wait and buy next year in what I may like more by then.

Having said that, I really really like the alpaca cardigan. Also I'm really looking forward to the alpaca jumper arriving soon, now that I’ve received the dispatch email from my Saturday order.

I had really hoped the black linen trousers would have shown up in the sale. A couple of months ago I wanted to try them on in a shop but just at that time they were removed from all the shops. I thought that indicated they would go in the next sale but I was wrong. Anyone know anything about this process of removing stock from shops and sales.

IlovePond · 25/03/2026 08:54

@ScallopShellWalk - the ways of Toast are mysterious. They are probably all in the back of a cupboard somewhere in Wales.

It may be worth calling Kilver Court to see if they have any. They sometimes have really old stock that has been withdrawn from the main shops.

ScallopShellWalk · 25/03/2026 09:13

@IlovePond thank you. It is mysterious but they can still be ordered online so not yet old stock, just not in the shops.

ScottishMouse · 25/03/2026 14:48

I’m sure I have mentioned before that I have very tricky feet - surgeries, neuropathy, short toes but wide feet. I hate having to shoe shop but it is getting to the time of year I need to put my beloved Blundstones away and consider some spring/summer shoes/sandals. I need some support, and sandals must have a back strap. I want to be able to wear my shoes/sandals with everything in my wardrobe as it’s hard to find many options. I don’t love how my feet look and I have allergies to nail polish, so I quite like a sandal that is fairly enclosed. What are people’s opinions on the Keen Uneek that Toast has - are they a step too far into ugly shoes? Are they only for the hippest of hip young folk who can get away with ugly shoes?

mizu · 25/03/2026 15:30

@ScottishMouse I’d quite like to see a foot in those shoes before deciding 😁

ScottishMouse · 25/03/2026 15:41

i’ve been looking at them on Instagram @mizu, there are photos of them on feet there. I still can’t decide, I feel like they look like they would be comfy and supportive enough, but they might also be the ugliest shoes ever.

MsDastardley · 25/03/2026 15:53

@ScottishMouse I quite like them. Have you tried Vibae? I ordered the fisherman sandal but had to return as very wide. They have a supportive footbed and the leather was extremely soft.

IlovePond · 25/03/2026 15:55

@ScottishMouse - I can walk for miles in my Keen sandals, (they are more like walking sandals than the cream ones on the Toast site). Unfortunately, if I ‘overwalk’ in them, it triggers my PF, and tendinitis, unfortunately.

OP posts:
ScallopShellWalk · 25/03/2026 16:15

@ScottishMouse I don’t find them at all ugly. It would depend how they looked on you in the clothes you are choosing. Also obviously how they felt and whether they can handle the amount of walking you want them to do. Though with Keen I would expect they are for walking some at least, since they also do proper walking shoes for long distance and rugged terrain.
But my preference is always comfort. I’ll put up with looks.

CakeAndJazz · 25/03/2026 16:31

Some bits on reworn, if of interest

IlovePond · 25/03/2026 16:46

I’m a bit embarrassed- I had a look at Reworn and thought: ‘Oh, that looks nice’ for about five things, before realising they are currently sitting in my cupboard already🙈

OP posts:
Saurus72 · 25/03/2026 17:23

Thanks for the Reworn tip - I’ve placed my first ‘lightly worn’ order for the broken check shirt. It’s only £28 so I’m a bit suspicious of how worn it will be tbh. The Chie Mihara shoes are unworn - they would have been mine if only they were a size bigger…

I was expecting some new stock to be added today/tomorrow, no signs tho. Maybe next week.

ScallopShellWalk · 25/03/2026 17:30

Thank you @CakeAndJazz for letting us know about reworn. I ordered the king size duvet. I’m away for over 2 weeks and won’t be here to see or return anything, otherwise I may have tried the linen trousers.

ScallopShellWalk · 25/03/2026 18:04

I went back in and ordered the kantha jacket that I’d admired a lot. Paid for faster delivery and if it comes in time I’ll see it before I leave. Fingers crossed.

Popplebop · 25/03/2026 18:09

And I have bought the silk garden bandana. I laughed as I have a few similar clothing items in Reworn. Don’t need duplicates - as well as waiting for the sale order to finally arrive…

ScottishMouse · 25/03/2026 18:14

Thanks for the comments on the Keen sandals folks. I may try them next time I’m in store to see how ugly they are. There are some very stylish looking young things on Instagram in them, I’m imagining that is what I would look like of course 😆

faustina · 25/03/2026 18:26

@ScottishMouse and @mizu - Hannah Rochell has a pair of those Keen shoes and she's often wearing them on Instagram - see if you can find them on her feed. She seems to love them.

I managed to find a pair of Viba mules on Vinted (unworn) and they arrived today - they are so wonderful, also not completely flat as I though they might be - way more comfortable than my Boston clogs. If I plan to wear outside, should I spray them? I will definitely try the Fishermans sandals once it gets to sandal weather

Thanks @CakeAndJazz for the reworn. There's one thing I'm hoping to find from last year (light beige linen skirt) but no luck so far

Snowyowl78 · 25/03/2026 18:36

@ScottishMouse @faustina i was going to mention Hannah Rochell re the Keen shoes. She has loads of pics if you look through her feed.

Countmeout · 26/03/2026 05:00

Thanks @CakeAndJazz . I bought the black pepper linen dress which I had tried on last summer in Shoreditch. I’ve a feeling however it’s too big and I needed a smaller size . I think you had it at one point @ScottishMouse ? But worth a try as it can be worn open over other things.

Not home yet so can’t try my sale things atm.
I also thought there’d be a drop. Maybe today.

I agree the Vibae are sooo comfortable.
I don’t think I could carry those Keen sandals off. They’re rather niche.

mizu · 26/03/2026 05:46

@faustina lucky you with the Vibae mules. Great find. Good to hear they are not so flat.

@ScallopShellWalk envious of the duvet, I think I went in too late, was looking out for bedding. I got a fitted sheet last year on Reworn and it was £27 and pretty sure it was brand new.

ScallopShellWalk · 26/03/2026 06:09

@mizu the duvet cover was superking size, white cotton with a gold single stipe across the top. I can imagine it’ll be new too. Apart from 2 items I returned, anything I have bought on reworn look new. I bought the kantha tweed jacket too and I’m guessing it’ll look pretty new since it’s only recently been on sale. It may even just be what was left of the last sale since there were 2 sizes. I am quite pleased about getting it at this price, another 100 off the sale price. Of course it might not be new but if it looks it, I’ll be happy.

ScottishMouse · 26/03/2026 06:13

Yes @Countmeout, well remembered on the black pepper dress. It’s a great dress. I went for my normal size, even though the size down fit, I felt less comfortable in it. So it might work for tou 🤞🏻
