Anyone also crazy about this Dune bag?

I know it’s very similar to the Bottega Venetta Hop.

I saw it for the first time yesterday, they’ve got some lovely colours and I’m especially inclined towards either the light brown or the blush pink. Reviews on their website are good but would love to hear any MNetters opinions, especially those who have the bag!

I am beginning to agree with you. PPs have said the same.

My conclusion is that whilst I like the look of it (I really like that style), it’s synthetic and not worth the £129.

I think synthetic is a bonus, I can ‘t bear the idea of carrying parts of a dread (probably cruelly treated) animal over my shoulder.
This bag looks good, and why should it matter that it is unlined?

Mint Velvet do a brown and a tan suede bag similar to this one.

I have it in burgundy with the mini matching bag charm. It’s a great medium-sized bag and pairs well with most autumnal and winter outfits.

That’s a lovely colour. One of my options … if I buy it. How long have you used it for?

I bought it last September and have used it throughout Autumn and Winter. I use a Longchamp for work, but the Dune Delicate is my day to day bag outside of work.

That’s the exact combo I was thinking about.

Few years ago got a bag very similar to something I'd spotted quite exspensive on a website
In there for two-thirds the price and in leather

I'm neutral about it, I think. I definitely don't dislike how it looks, but the woven look and synthetic material both put me off. I love how leather ages beautifully with decent shoes and bags.

I guess to summarise, I don't hate it, but don't love it, and wouldn't choose a non-leather bag.

I bought this just before Christmas.
When it arrived I was really disappointed and returned it. It was unlined and plastic, It looked far cheaper than the price suggested.
Much nicer and better quality bags are available for that money, in my opinion.

I have one, in black. I don't go for leather, in bags or shoes, so the synthetic appealed to me. This is my everyday bag, and I've had it well over a year. No signs of wear, peeling, degradation at all.

What colour did you buy?

Burgundy. Liked it online but just thought it looked cheap and too shiny.

Aarrggh TK Maxx has come a few times in this thread. Probably another place to visit to scratch that itch that this bag has started!

Massimo Dutti do similar bags in leather. They are pricier than Dune but their leather is usually decent, and the bags are lined. Might be worth checking Vinted too.
