Are these timeless?

Firstly, I love love love this so please don't shit on them if they're not your style. Would you say the patent leather are more timeless than the textured fabric? Also, are the lower heels less nice?

It would help. 😅

N0tjustAmum · 25/01/2026 19:21

Yes, the patent leather are imo the most classic. not keen on the lower heel.

TomatoSandwiches · 25/01/2026 19:22

The textured fabric is more interesting, but could also be too much.

The patent leather imo is classic Prada and can't really go wrong with those.

I don't like the lower heel at all.

PiggieWig · 25/01/2026 19:23

I'd say the patent are more timeless if that's what you're going for. The lower heel matt ones are more 'now'.

cotswoldsgal1234 · 25/01/2026 19:24

I think they are all fabulous.
The lower heel would look great with cigarette trousers.
you won’t go wrong with any of them x

livelyparsnip · 25/01/2026 19:24

I think they are a twist on quite a classic timeless shape. I think if you love them then thats the important thing.

EverythingIsComputer · 25/01/2026 19:25

I think the branding on the sling back is very now and will sadly look a bit tired in a year or two

NovemberMorn · 25/01/2026 19:25

If I was going to advertise someone's label, I would want them to pay me.
But if you like them (I dont') ....go for it.

Evaporateandlisten · 25/01/2026 19:26

Pretty but not timeless imo.

Madamblueshoes · 25/01/2026 19:27

Love them! I'd pick higher heel non-patent version. Happy shopping x

SalmonOnFinnCrisp · 25/01/2026 19:28

Patent is more timeless but that strap makes it non timeless.
Im not talking the style I'm talking about the its bright white ribbon.

They wont wear well ... in 5 years or so the straps will look manky from General wear/ touching with hands with grime. Dirt from the street etc

lonelylavenders · 25/01/2026 19:28

I think the fabric low slingbacks are the most timeless

they will always be a cool statement pump with a pair of cigarette trousers and a t shirt

LowdermilkPark · 25/01/2026 19:29

The branding ruins them imo. Low heeled ones are not good.

BreadInCaptivity · 25/01/2026 19:30

I do like them but I’m not sure they are timeless (the patent ones being the best in that regard).

I’d worry about the ribbon getting grubby if I’m honest and right now the vibe is more “quiet luxury” rather “shouting” branding.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 25/01/2026 19:32

I can't help as I'd buy all 3 😂
However I prefer the smaller heel & I would make sure the fabric & ribbon was sprayed with fabric protector help protect from watermarks & stains, if CD hasn't already done that.

Comefromaway · 25/01/2026 19:37

I don’t think any of them are timeless but if them all I’d get the lower ones. The ribbon will date & not last. Did Jonathan Anderson design these? I normally like his stuff but not these. I’m so like these though. www.dior.com/en_gb/fashion/products/KCP867DQB_S09X

My husband has a lovely pair of Dior shoes in the diamond pattern. They are incredibly comfortable.

SPQRomanus · 25/01/2026 19:43

Having very obvious branding like that is neither timeless, classic or elegant. It just shouts " look how much money I can spend on shoes and I'm not used to having money, I'm an insecure person so I've got to boast about it".
A similar style just all in black is much more timeless.

Harsh, but true.

TealReader · 25/01/2026 19:50

I don’t think they are timeless and I do think they’d be very hard to keep clean. But if you love them and think you will wear them loads treat yourself. I wouldn’t spend a fortune on heels because I know I’d never want to wear them enough! But I am considering splashing out on some very expensive Tabi shoes which are something most people on here would probably tell me are ugly and only for people with no taste!

MulberryPeony · 25/01/2026 20:11

Not timeless but very beautiful. I like the fabric ones the best.

Being insulting and derisive isn't classy or elegant either.

These have been around for at least 5 yrs. They are already a little dated in my opinion and significantly more expensive than they used to be.

WeAreNotOk · 25/01/2026 21:11

If it's down to personal taste, then the patent with the lower heel - but I guess the higher heel is more desirable. I really dislike the logo/branding - that makes it a bit distasteful.
