I had a previous discovery set from them which contained a scent called Fat Electrician

I’ve just googled that secretions frag and the fragrantica description of it is erm…. Interesting. The notes look normal though so im unsure how they achieve the ‘like blood, sweat, sperm and saliva’ thing 😂

Okay so im about to head into a rabbit hole of the weird and wonderful fragrance world 😂 fat electrician next!

Valaya exclusif on one arm and Valaya on the other this morning to compare both. I think I prefer the Exclusif but I have so much of the original (1x 30ml, 1x 10ml and 1x 5ml) and only a 5ml of Exclusif 🙈

Safe to say, I didn’t use the included voucher to buy a FS 😁

As it’s Liberty Beauty Drop week I have gone with Lbty Vine Thief, I quite like it and outside my normal rose : vanilla scents but not enough to buy a travel size.

I just looked up the description of Fat Electrician on the ELDO website and now I feel a bit sorry for him 😂

His beauty would have been his greatest asset. One imagines he was raised in the big air of Texas, his soft skin scrubbed by ears of wheat, his eyelashes curled by grappling with grace against a blinding sun. A Midnight Cowboy lost on city asphalt.

A fisherman without a line, he was made to be hooked by others, to believe in his fate without knowing it, to wreak havoc and forget it over time. Youth for women-of-a-certain-age, stock for late-night parties, a partner to accompany the wealthy of Palm Beach on nature walks, his splendor is consumed in the service of others. Now, a Fat Electrician in New Jersey, his talent depleted in his sexual decline. This is the curse of beauty — it doesn’t last.

Trying valaya after all the chat on here about it. Hmm I think I just don’t gel with aldehydes in fragrance as it gives them that soapy ‘clean’ feel which I don’t like in perfume. It’s an inital burst of aldehydes but does settle down into something softer and prettier. A little fruity with the peach. This isn’t my type of fragrance I think but I’ll likely use the 5ml I have.

Sorry for the multiple posts today. But I just wanted to ask if anyone has thoughts on the malin and goetz strawberry that was in the space nk frag calendar? As it’s a full size I’m unsure whether I should sell it on before it reaches me. We don’t have vinted here so my relative is kindly taking in deliveries for me and managing my vinted sales before flying out to us next month 😅 I have read the reviews on fragrantica for this but they’re varied. It won’t be my thing if it’s a strawberry shampoo or confectionary type of scent.

From what I understand it's more 'green' than anything sweet scented which I think was what disappointed many people. IIRC you quite like fresh green scents? If so it may be your sort of thing.

I dithered on keeping it for a while but ultimately sold. I did try to find it in store but nowhere that sold M&G had that one to test and the bottle in the advent is sealed in cellophane.

I was worried about this one but I don't get strawberry from it. It's definitely green and I was really pleasantly surprised. To me it smells like the strawberry plant not the actual strawberries.

I also sold the strawberry from the SNK FAC. I smelt it in store and whilst I didn't hate it, I didn't like it enough to have a full bottle of it.

I wish in the SNK FAC that they'd put a full size you Doux in. I can't get enough of it 😍 I love wearing it with BDK Gris Charnel.

Poor Fat Texan Electrician! It caused much hilarity at the time as I work with a lot of trades. I also haven’t opened the Strawberry scent yet but I do love a green scent so I may keep it for summer.

I also opened my Space NK Advent Calendar yesterday - and I tried the Dedcool Taunt. It was OK but nothing special IMHO. I don't have Gris Charnel to layer it with like @JoRaRaRa . I might try it again today just to be sure.

I like the sound of the Malin + Goetz Strawberry as described by those of you who have tried it. I might leave it until spring. I don't like overly sweet strawberry like JHAG Miami Shake - if that's the one I'm thinking of.

There are loads of gris charnels from the Harrods fragrance calendar on vinted at the moment if you fancy trying it. It's the you doux that I pair it with. It's gorgeous together 😍😍 someone on here recommended it and I'm eternally grateful! 🤣 I've not tried it with Taunt but now I'm wondering what that combo would be like 🤔

My mistake, soz. I will use the BDK samples that I've got in calendars/edits but I won't be buying any. But thanks for the suggestions.

I’ve been trying to reduce my scrolling time and in doing so, missed out of electricians and bodily fluids 🤣.

I felt the same way about valaya @paristotokyo - will use it up in spring but I’m not a big freshie scent person.

a bit late on the high st/designer but I enjoy many of the Lancome and the odd Zara scents. Zara I find overwhelming given the rate they come out with new ones. Flankers annoy me a bit.

SOTD La vie est belle Lancome as I was reminded of it.

Thanks all for the comments on the strawberry! I’m still undecided as I get the feeling it’s a linear type of scent and I don’t want a full bottle of anything I don’t really love. I do prefer the idea of a green strawberry plant though. The market is totally saturated with them so would have to price low

First time joining in with SOTD and today is killan apple brandy i got this for christmas and admittedly I wasnt keen initially as I think the name put me off and not usually a fan of strong alcohol-y scents and it is strong in first spray but settles to a lovely softer tho still quite strong scent
