Oud for greatness today from the Initio kit. Lovely saffron, slightly sweet and a tiny touch of oud.

WFH day today + spritz experiment day .

SOTD Goldfield & Banks Sunset Hour. Quite a cosy, fruity scent.

Oh I love that one. We have a lot in common @OvaHere scent wise!

I have moved on to vyrao I am verdant and then oda ona carte blanche. Really making the most of being alone wfh with all my perfumes out. I have 2 of the little organisers with 24 compartments each in front of me on my desk, plus my little shelf of mini dabbers and yes it will be scent of the hour rather than day today!

I'm mostly not a fan of Vyrao but I do adore Ludatrix. Have you tried that one? It has a latex note and you can pick it up as slightly rubbery. Not one I would have said I would like based on the description but I do.

Excitement!!! My matiere premiere extraits sample pack just arrived from France! 6 tinies of the extraits range, plus a mini radical rose to try.

I do love mat prem, the fbs are ridiculous expensive especially extraits so this is an affordable way to try at £36.

I am verdant is the only Vyrao I've really liked. Surprisingly really as its a freshmen. Ideal for spring!

The matiere premiere extraits sample is quality, shame they are so small, vanilla powder is the first one Ive tried v similar to og vp, reminds me of vanilla haze although 1000 times more expensive, so for a 'poor mans' option i can use the VH when this runs out.

SOTD Miller Harris Legato. This is one of the few perfumes I bought as a full bottle rather than a sample/travel size, and it’s already got quite a dent! It’s a boozy cherry vanilla, not too strong, it’s been an easy reach for me over autumn & winter. I have no regrets about splurging for this one!

That sounds really nice 😍 I'm going to see if I can get a sample. I also fancy a sample of @IDontHateRainbows figue erotique 😊 There's quite a few perfume sample websites, has anyone used any? Any recommendations?

It's a shame it doesn't last that long. Can't smell it at all now.

I'm on the matiere premiere radical rose extrait..it is lovely. Definitely going through a rose curious phase.

@JoRaRaRa Miller Harris do 2ml samples for £3.50 each, and if you order 4 or more you get free delivery and a £15 voucher towards a full size bottle, which I think is pretty good! 😊

I ordered a mini of Boucheron Serpent Boheme when buying (what now seems to be discontinued from other sites) an Elizabeth Arden peeling mask. I have never tried any Boucheron but they seem well reviewed. Looking forward to trying it.

I think Scherzo is their bestseller, which @IDontHateRainbows has mentioned liking. I like Poirier d’un Soir (think I must like scents with a rum note, funnily enough I do also like drinking it 😆). I thought Myrica Muse was nice too. I think Tea Tonique is another popular one!

Re. sample sites - I agree about Fragrance Samples UK and Small Aromas, both have been great for me, as have Scented Samples and The Perfume Sampler. Definitely use TrustPilot as I think there are some scammy ones out there!

Scented samples sells fig erotique. Not cheap tho!

Bedtime scent after a day of testing and sampling is vilhelm modest mimosa. Creamy, powdery floral. Growing on me.

I like Lumière Dorée very much, although it may be better as a summer scent than this time of year.

My favourite Miller Harris is Secret Gardenia, but I also love Myrica Muse. Scherzo, Peau Santal and Rose Silence are lovely too.

Miller Harris is next on my list , I do love Scherzo lmao interested in the cherry one that came out recently and the tea one.

But not for a while as im still working my way through pdm set and others.

It's world perfume day in a few weeks, last year cult beauty had a number of edits but I've not seen anything yet
