I've found they have tightened up a lot on used, even if you subtly say something like spritzed once the bots will pick up on it and delete the listing.

I had a sniff in SpaceNK, but wasn't keen (I'm also meant to be on a low buy February - which isn't going according to plan!)

SOTE is rock the myrrh by Dries Van Noten. I like this one, it's almost a bit oud-like (although it doesn't have oud in it, it just reminds me of oud) I never thought of myrrh as a note in perfume before and am not really sure what it is, except something the 3 wise men brought.

Earlier in the day I had Elie Saab love elixir which is a lovely cherry-rose, not too sweet. Nearly at the end of my travel size and considering getting another if I miss it when it is gone. Usually I have moved on to the next thing though.

Really pacing myself with the DS and Durga set. I have Durga and Amber Kiso left to try. I don't know what is in there but it's one of those Iso E Supers that people go mad for, and I don't really get them.

Looking forward to my DS and Durga Experience at liberty next week. I have decided that if I fall in love with something, and only if, I will treat myself. At the moment Radio Bombay is in the frame. Then again, there are other perfumes on my list from other brands that I may like more. Tom Ford Fig Erotique being one. Oh god I'm going to come out of Liberty completely bankrupted aren't I.

SOTEvening is BTSO Musc x, it's quite sweet, but clean and simple.

I decided to pick out a few samples and travel size perfumes from my box to hopefully use a few different fragrances through February and this was one of them 😊

@IDontHateRainbows I tried TF Fig Erotique yesterday. It's quite nice, didn't wow me enough on first try to think I must have it but I'll probably try it again next time I'm in a store.

Sot morning maison margiela afternoon delight. Its a lovely sweet gourmand but incredibly weak. Feels like it would be impossible to overspray. Office day though so I won't.

I sprayed Nostos from the Harrods 2024 AC last night and immediately washed it off as it was so strong but I can still smell it.

I’m still enjoying the Discotheque discovery set and I’ve bought a couple of FS in various sales. I’ve just bought another discovery on CB using the 20% and credit.

SOTMorning is Boadicea the Victorious Lannosea ✨ I'm feeling absolutely knackered this morning (lots of coffee needed ☕️😴), so I reached for this hoping the bright citrus opening would give me a little boost 🍋 It’s fresh and uplifting, but not sharp, more soft and radiant than zingy. I’m not usually a big citrus fan (they often remind me of kitchen cleaner 🙈🤣), but this one is different, it's clean, elegant and really easy to wear 💛 Perfect for slow mornings and easing into the day.

Jo Malone 'Spiced Apricot & Sandalwood' bc the weather is so bad and I just want to smell comforting 😭 Still goes on like a Yankee candle, still has a lovely soft drydown; perfect for the start of Feb but glad I didn't panic buy more than my 9ml bottle.

Also wondering about finding a soft vanilla to get me through the next month - can't really do gourmands (apart from today), so something more musky or interesting would be great.

SOTD an old one for me today as trying to use up my older bottles but its nice and I loved it few yrs back Marc Jacobs Dot. I went through a phase of enjoying nice decorative bottles and for that Marc Jacobs is definitely the one however they are dated now and my tastes have definitely changed so its a missing use up/give to DSD as DDs wont have them now or to DN

Today is the same as yesterday. Fugazzi Vanilla Haze layered with Sana Jardin Sandalwood Temple. Love this combination!

I went through a stage of really liking Nostos but it is strong. Like comments at supermarket checkout strong.

Miller Harris Scherzo is a softer version.

@potplantsinparadise Diptyque Eau Duelle - the EDT is more green/herbal and the EDP is more spicy, but they’re both lovely warm non-gourmand vanillas (and my desert island frag)

It must be super strong if Scherzo is the soft version! Scherzo is a one or two spritzes and lasts for 12 hours kind of perfume on me.

My SOTD is Juliette Has a Gun Not a Perfume layered with Phlur Vanilla Skin body mist. I can only smell the JHAG for about a minute after spraying so I’m using it for layering.

SOTD is Commodity Milk Orchid, I am actually making quite a dent in this 100ml full
bottle and it’s limited edition. I actually really want to wear Thameen Bravi but getting close to the end of my sample from Liberty Scent Kit August 2024. @JoRaRaRa I thought Ex Nihilo Brompton Immortelles was like Thameen Bravi with one less note. The dry down was similar to me.

There are Bridgerton perfumes! I was going through a valentines edit list and it was on there, not a kit or edit or even sample set so wonder if they paid to be listed. https://beautyadventcalendar.net/valentines-beauty-gift-guide-2026/ I’m intrigued anyway. Here are the notes:

Well that’s a shame, sounds all bottle and no substance. £42 for 50ml, it’s perfume for teenagers priced for their parents to buy it. A shame, as I really like the Bridgerton x Liberty fabric collection.

SOTD was Glossier You Reve. I was a bit underwhelmed by this when I bought it last year and haven't worn it much but today I've loved it. I've been catching the sweet plummy scent all day. I wonder if it's benefitted from sitting a while? I can still smell it now over 12 hours later.

@BakeOffRewatch I've not tried that Thameen one before. When I go to Harrods, I'll have to check it out 😊 Apparently, tkmaxx were selling some thameen discovery sets a bit ago, but I never saw them 😭
I do, however, have the Penhaligon and Merchant of Venice sets that I bought from Tkmaxx that I still need to properly try out.

I like that one but it's a bit weak for me - I probs have a very nose blind nose.

Today I have tried phantom in red which i got free in a gift with purchase. It's marketed a a man's scent but I'm not a fan of genderising perfume. I can see that it has quite a heavy 'male cologne' aspect to it but I do like it. I think red can be code for saffron which I love. It has elements of Baccarat Rouge, nothing like the actual BR but I can smell some similar notes. Big office today so hoping it will have dried down a bit by the time i get in as I'm scared of wearing strong scents there now .

TK Maxx can have some good bargains but they are like needles in a hay stack. I got some Ellis Brookly there a while back. My modus operandi of 'buy a selection pack at discount and sell enough to make the money back keeping some for myself' has worked quite well so far but I'm running out of discovery sets to get. The little 2ml ones aren't worth it - has to be 5ml + to have any value in doing so.

Ordered the flannels cracker someone was selling on Ebay which has Erba Pura Baciami and some others in. Interested to try the Erba Pura.

Hoping that International Fragrance Day in March means some new kits will be on sale soon - last year cult beauty did a selection of really great ones at good price. Plus of course there'll be mothers day beauty boxes around which may have some frag.
