SOTD Commodity Paper-: this one is odd, like it actually reminds me of the smell of photocopiers? Not in a bad way, I quite like it, but not a conventional perfume at all.
Having now given the Commodity discovery set a thorough go, my reflections are: Milk- is nice, and I'm likely to pick up a 10ml on Vinted as there's plenty there for a low price. Moss expressive I also liked, and might consider in the future, as a nice green oak moss that didn't disappear too quickly, but not the personal/bold variants. Book was fine, nice wearable sandalwood, but I already have a good santal in my collection.
Gold I didn't like in any of the variants - I didn't detect vanilla, marshmallow or tonka at all, just ambrox, it smelled like generic aftershave to me. Juice was not for me, I've realised that raspberry in any form smells like Herbal Essences shampoo to my nose.
All in all, the bold variants for most of them were too ambery on the base, and the personal variants seemed the best blended. It was a fun discovery kit, but the hit/miss ratio was off for this house. I'll pass the ones I didn't care for on to a friend, so will finish the month having made a good dent in my samples/decant number.
