I really must step away now. Early this morning I placed one last (?) sale order, for the biscuit wool vneck dress (could be great, could be awful, who knows?!) and some candles. Sadly, or maybe thankfully, the striped Donegal tank was already oos in my size, so I was saved from that.
It looks like my slippers might be delivered today. But still not the jacket I ordered on Christmas Eve, it already feels like I ordered that a lifetime ago.

All the ridiculous sizing, and still, even now, when I order something in two sizes which I almost always do, there's that patronising message: 'we noticed you're ordering the same item in two sizes'

Yep @faustina, I got that message this morning too when I ordered two sizes. 🙄

How is your long ago made order? Looks like three parcels I was expecting today (only one Toast) are all stuck in transit, so will probably be Monday now. I’m holding onto things so I can make choices once everything arrives, but my bedroom is starting to look like a warehouse and I’d just like it all gone now.

@ScottishMouse - I'd ordered the brass pocket tees in small and medium. I ordered the delft/ecru stripe tees in exactly the same sizes and am keeping the small in that. It's a good weight and hangs really nicely. I thought the brass looked as if it were an identical shape, but it's very disappointing! Much thinner cotton and a really odd shape. Sleeves not loose enough at the shoulder, and yet the shoulder itself is quite big - in fact the whole tee manages to be too small and too big at the same time. Such a shame because it's a beautiful colour which would go with so many of my clothes. Oh well - at least I can do the returns now. Maybe some of your things will surprise you by arriving today?

I found the shape of that T-shirt odd too @faustina, I know what you mean about it feeling both too small and too big at the same time. Weird.

I received my 2 sale parcels. The manos del Uruguay striped tank is beautiful soft, substantial and I’m very pleased to have it.
my closed clogs were too big and had to go back. I’d taken a chance with the 39 hoping it would be a 5.5 as sometimes is but it was too long and too much volume. I’ll get some clogs sometime. These looked perfect so I’m sad they didn’t fit. Gone within half hour of arriving.
Now I’m looking at other sale things. And wondering if I could justify it. Holding myself back but oooh I do want to.

Couldn’t hold myself back 😱 ordered the check merino blend wrap/ ruanas and although I feel guilty I know this will be something I will use a lot, so feel less guilty. Don’t know whether to feel happy or bad. 😬 no money left now so gladly I’ll have to stop. Phew

There must be a backlog in my delivery office as nothing made it out of there today ☹️ My Christmas Eve order is stuck in Swansea and all other sale shopping stuck more locally. I’ll be expecting a bumper day of deliveries on Monday! I really wanted to get all my returns cleared out this weekend, but it looks like I’ll have to wait. I’m unreasonably annoyed by this.

I hate to mention it but my order from yesterday (the new additions to the sale) arrived this morning. I did pay £6 for quicker (but not next day) delivery, so super impressed by the speed here - order to delivery around 21 hours. I have yet to open them as I have been out and just returned but will update later.

@ToastCosILoveIt - better than mine. I ordered Next Day - I expect to receive Mon as my order was before 2pm Friday but don't think DHL yet received (has been despatched). I think Express can be better near the weekend as RM deliver on Sat (and Sun here too).

Thank you to those of you who have been mentioning Finisterre -went and had a look and ended up ordering a coat. Arrived today and it's great.

long time lurker…being tempted by the wool cotton suki trousers…but I’m worried they will swamp my small frame - anyone have them? TIA

Lurker here too! I received these today, I’m 5ft1 and ordered S - they are (like everything I ordered!) huge and are going back.
I love Toast but they definitely don’t cater very well for smaller women

Happy new year everyone! Took me a while to catch up on all the messages, 5 pages in already!

I bought two more things (to try) from the new additions (though possibly they were already there?) the kantha waistcoat and stripe seersucker shirt which has come up in previous sales for sure. Looks awfully long though, but I do love my toast shirts. Looking forward to receiving them anyway :)

I have always struggled with trouser lengths and I’m quite enjoying crop trousers since I get away with the length. I bought the wool broken herringbone trousers a few months ago and they fit fine. A little tighter on the waist than I expected but I have put on weight, now I’ve got to lose it again.

This is when I start liking sale items I’d previously not even noticed.

I’ve just ordered the gold cotton/silk shirt with the tie neck ,it will have to be really special to be a keeper .
Also the golden sand cord tie waist dress , if it works it could be a good one for gallery visits !

Sometimes these things come to pass. The 'ideal for cocktails not involving a muddy tramp' events are sadly far too infrequent.

I’m similar. I see something I like and search for an event to justify it. I ordered the organza skirt but couldn’t think of where I would wear it. But I liked it so much on this occasion I actually didn’t care. Afterwards I thought of occasions but even if I don’t, I still don’t care. This is an advancement for me. I ordered it merely because I like it. I’ll make sure I wear it even if it’s just to town. That’s if it fits.

I do this too. I now have outfits to cover most eventualities! Maybe not skiing though as can’t imagine ever wanting to do that!

@OftenOrange I am also looking at both the navy and gold shirts. I was thinking they might be good for work. Conflicted about sizing though as I want it to be loose. Recommendation is medium but the model is wearing a small so one size up from that doesn’t seem enough. Some of the reviews are confusing me on size. I’m also wondering if it will go down in price again this week.

I have sent back all my returns so that's going to tie up the warehouse for a couple of days.
Kept an over priced silk Bandana because I love the colour and won't wear it with a woggle.DH will just have to accept that the boy scouts never looked that good in a triangular scarf.
Jude wool trousers - getting a lot of wear out of a much older style, wool pair so this will enable me to at least give my favourites an occasional rest.
Gia shirt - might wear one to work tomorrow, if it's a favourite I'll also keep the other colour.
Stripe tank - a want rather than a need but I like it so much.

Have a cheeky order in for a Bryn dress and I jumper. I googled Bryn for the sizing and got my own posts over the last few years about me sending it back previously. I'm am an ever optimistic idiot.
