Welcome to the Toast thread where we talk about what we love, (and what drives us mad 😹), about all things Toast.

As usual, pictures are welcomed, as are comments, questions and info about Toastie topics.

Happy New Year everyone, and thanks @IlovePond for starting the new thread.

All of my (three) sales parcels are here now, some not yet tried on, will update once I do. I am waiting for the sale to add some new pieces, specifically a skirt I have earmarked. Hope everyone had a relaxing NYE.

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 01/01/2026 10:18

Happy New Year everyone and thanks for the new thread @IlovePond . A very disappointing sale all round so far, what with the delivery times and lack of restocking; hopefully some new, more exciting items (and more homeware!) will be added soon.

MayIDestroyYou · 01/01/2026 10:28

After losing out on a quilt in the sale last year - snapped up before I managed to grab it - I bought the Melin Tregwynt blanket I wanted before Christmas. (Despite a long chat with ChatGPT on the likelihood of it going into a sale. It hasn’t so far.)

CheeseonToast2026 · 01/01/2026 10:36

Happy New Year!
New year, new name !

mizu · 01/01/2026 10:39

Happy new year and thanks for new thread @IlovePond I’m hoping for a few new things to be added to the sale too. Bedding?!?

ScottishMouse · 01/01/2026 10:50

Happy new year everyone, and thanks for the new thread @IlovePond.
Still waiting for my Christmas Eve order to be dispatched. I also ordered some slippers yesterday, so don’t expect them for a while.
I’d love some more homeware to be added to the sale 🤞🏻

@CheeseonToast2026 new name for me too!

faustina · 01/01/2026 11:19

Thank you for the new thread @IlovePond

Yes, bedding would be a very good addition to the sale. Especially ticking.

Bimblesalong · 01/01/2026 11:31

Happy New Year you lovely toastistas. Placemarking to enjoy the chat and ahead of a visit to one of the London stores in a couple of weeks.

ScallopShellWalk · 01/01/2026 11:53

Happy new year Toasties.
thank you @IlovePond for the new thread. 😊
think I might be skint so although I’d like more things in the sale I’m planning to hold off. If the closed clogs I ordered don’t fit then I may look at more. I’d like the silver earrings. I may go into Edinburgh's toast shop on Saturday to try on a skirt and look at the earrings. Try not to buy. I’ve pretty much fallen in love with the look of the cotton silk organza skirt but it prob is too fragile for my life. Maybe if that colour or similar style comes in a more robust fabric I’ll bite. I’ve been using skirts more and more. I like it. Feels nostalgic for bygone days.

OrangeyLemon · 01/01/2026 13:12

Happy new year all! I was trying to see when further reductions/new additions have happened in the past. One year there were new additions on 30 December, so my detective work was bit pointless, as obviously that hasn’t happened!

MiracleToast · 01/01/2026 13:31

Happy new year Toasties! It’s just started snowing here in the highlands! Thanks @IlovePond marking my place ready for the new additions—hopeful for bedding.

My sale parcels were shockingly for my dad and brother! With varied success. So it seems reasonable that I get something for myself in the new drop, right?!

ScottishMouse · 01/01/2026 13:34

Last year and the year before, new items were added to the sale on the evening of the 2nd, and further reductions on the 9th.

MayIDestroyYou · 01/01/2026 13:37

That’s worth knowing, thank you. I’d quite like to add the matching cushion cover to make a properly splendid gift for a relative.

Carocurls · 01/01/2026 16:42

Those of you who own crinkle skirts, what footwear do you wear with them in winter ? I threw out my Chelsea boots last winter and am now struggling with tights and suitable footwear. I love these skirts but mainly wear with socks and trainers in milder months.

OftenOrange · 01/01/2026 17:34

Thanks for this thread @IlovePond
Today’s outfit is the very big Patch Pocket Dungarees ; comfort prevailed in the end and the fact that I can wear a much bigger jumper with them which I can’t with the more fitted Jessa.

mizu · 01/01/2026 17:59

@OftenOrange that’s interesting re the dungarees. I’ve had a pair of the Jesse dungarees for years and they are currently on Vinted as just a bit too snug now. I might check them out.

CakeAndJazz · 01/01/2026 20:15

Thanks for the new thread @IlovePond. Am also waiting on sale newness and re-stocks of two items. So far, I am just keeping the weekly journal (which is lovely).

Yorkshirelass04 · 01/01/2026 22:29

Just checking in. HnY all.

ScottishMouse · 01/01/2026 22:53

I am having an issue seeing the in store stock checker thingy properly. When I click on it, it shows kind of greyed out and I can’t scroll down the page so I can only see the first few stores listed. Is anyone else having this issue or am I doing something stupid? I have tried on my phone and a laptop.

IlovePond · 02/01/2026 00:24

@Carocurls - I have a pair of ancient suede ankle boots from Mango in Spain, (bought in the sale for 7 euros!) I wear these with my crinkle skirt as haven’t found any other footwear that ‘goes’ with it.

BTW: I had to get the boots resoled a couple of weeks ago and the cobbler commented on their fantastic workmanship. €7 - Best buy ever!

Yes, I am having the same issue too.

Anyone else get S.A.D but in Spring/Summer? Now the ber months are over, the comfort feels drift away and I dread the warmer months and pressure of feeling you have to be doing something outside/social event.

I know this must sound mad to some!

Oh me too! I love spring , the light, flowers, trees coming back to life and it’s usually still cool. Summer, I wait for it to finish. Keep this to myself usually as people think I’m very odd and a killjoy!
