Back to M&S after a couple of years off for me this year, I don’t think that we have a thread already?

Usual rules apply, no spoilers before 7am, looking forward to tomorrow! 🎄

Something a bit different today. Quite useful I suppose, will probably use it in the shower.

TokyoSushi · 05/12/2025 07:49

Oh! 😒🤣 I have just used it on wet hair, it does go through pretty well!

also bit underwhelmed but I will admit it goes through hair lovely. My son has longer curly hair so actually will be ideal for him

Chrysanthemum5 · 05/12/2025 08:10

Took me ages to find the box as I assumed it would be the conditioner to go with the shampoo.

I think the comb is useful but it looks really cheap especially in the weird colour. Not a highlight of the box for me

monjmaintainer · 05/12/2025 08:31

Least fave day today so far but suppose there had to be some. Odd that it’s more for thick hair when yesterday’s shampoo was for fine hair. A comb this size is ridiculous for my incredibly fine hair so I won’t use - will pass onto friend with curly haired daughters who may find it useful and like the colour.

monjmaintainer · 05/12/2025 08:32

I’ve been loving the nail polish and perfume so far. I like the shower oil well enough but I did giggle to myself in the shower as I remembered the comment about smoked cheese from a previous post - so true 😂

greywolfie · 05/12/2025 08:33

Having opened mine in November, I was thinking of you all last night! I was v underwhelmed. It costs £8 apparently!
Today was supplement day in my H&B- so perhaps the 5th is always cursed? :D

RoseTeaLady · 05/12/2025 08:49

Underwhelming indeed. Looks cheap 😟 I have very fine hair, so it’s another item for the Charity Shop. I liked the shampoo….

bigTillyMint · 05/12/2025 08:56

I’m actually quite happy with this as I have very thick longish hair so it will be great for combing conditioner through!

jay55 · 05/12/2025 09:17

I’m happy with today’s too. I’ll use it for travel and not have to risk losing my nice wife tooth comb I keep in the shower.

ModernLife1sRubbish · 05/12/2025 09:25

I like it. After the nail varnish (not my colour) and the shampoo (my hair is not fine), it is good to have something I can use. Fingers crossed for something a bit more exciting/glam tomorrow though...hope it's not the matching conditioner!

Unicornsandprincesses · 05/12/2025 10:03

I appreciated today’s, as I’ve just bought a curling tool & I assume I can use this to comb through the curls.

I used the shampoo yday and my horrible, dry hair feels surprisingly smooth and glossy. I wouldn’t have said it was thin and flat before but it looks much nicer and bouncier today.

I’ll wear the nail varnish at some point

bath oil, I put a drop in the bath for the kids and used a bit myself in place of a shower gel. It smells gorgeous.

Perfume I don’t often wear but it’s ok. I’ll use it.

exited to see what tomorrow is.

Snackpocket · 05/12/2025 10:28

I like the comb, I’ll use it in the shower to comb through my conditioner.

LizzieSiddal · 05/12/2025 11:52

Is this just a comb or is it a new fangled modern thing, I don’t know about 😆

🤣

TabbieMctatty · 05/12/2025 13:10

I don't mind the comb. I'm thinking of popping it in the shower to comb through conditioner.

Youngest DD has very long curly hair so ideal for her too.

CrepuscularCritter · 05/12/2025 13:20

It's been quite balanced so far. The comb is no use for my very fine hair, but the shampoo is great. I'm putting together a bag of things I won't use for friends/colleagues so nothing should go to waste.

50ftQueenieeee · 05/12/2025 15:24

The comb is okay, not very exciting but will be good for combing through conditioner. My daughter has really thick hair so will be good for her as well.

SomethingAboutNothing · 05/12/2025 16:05

I think the comb is for brushing out hair after curling it, isn't it? That's what my hairdresser does, and she says the bigger the comb the better 🤷🏼‍♂️
I excitedly painted my nails last night as I have a few days off work (healthcare) and it has already chipped quite a bit, disappointingly.

Chrysanthemum5 · 05/12/2025 20:26

Oh that would make sense @SomethingAboutNothing

suburburban · 05/12/2025 20:58

I really like the comb

Newgirls · 05/12/2025 21:54

The comb is useful for me but the colour is a bit bland maybe

sciaticafanatica · 06/12/2025 08:15

I will use today’s later but not overly fussed about it to be honest

olivietolivie · 06/12/2025 08:26

I am absolutely delighted with today’s advent. I had this in a cowshed gift set last Christmas and I loved it.

ThePoshUns · 06/12/2025 08:42

I am pleased with today, they had this in last year’s and was perfect for a 5 day break I went on. It smells lovely. I expect there will be the body lotion later on.
