What are you wearing for your Christmas parties this year? I’m in need of some inspiration. I’ve got a couple of things coming up – both are more “going out” than formal, so nothing too dressy. I’m 50 and trying to find the right balance!

Any ideas welcome! :-)

It is understated but wearing black sparkly sequin blouse from George today for Work Christmas meal in London tonight.

We had a Christmas night out at a pub, so not overly dressy - I wore a black leather skort from mango with black tights, ankle boots and a low cut grey cardigan.

I love hearing/seeing what people are wearing. Everyone outfits sound lovely. I wore wide leg Saint & Sofia trousers with long sleeve red top with & a Santa hat for work Christmas lunch 🎅🏽 It was semi classy! 😆 Now looking for sparkley top to go with jeans & maybe a pleated skirt for few informal gatherings. Put on a few pounds so not feeling v glam but this thread has inspired me.

2 nights out I wore black velvet shorts, black tights, ankle boots, sparkly top. Another night out I had leather skinny jeans and sequin jacket. I’m 49.

I just bought this which is similar to the Boden one upthread. I'm a 12 and it fits nicely but i think a 14 would have given me a bit more breathing room
