What are you wearing for your Christmas parties this year? I’m in need of some inspiration. I’ve got a couple of things coming up – both are more “going out” than formal, so nothing too dressy. I’m 50 and trying to find the right balance!

I wore it as a test last night (to test it wasn’t uncomfortable or anything) and got stopped in the street THREE times by women to say your skirt is so lovely- my husband was astounded 😅

Or she’s a hybrid insect lady. Maybe even a spider lady if the trousers are for the leg limbs and she leaves the front two for arms

I'm going to a posh do next week and will wear my One Hundred Stars crane dress. I've also bought, from Tesco of all places, a rather nice sequinned cropped cardigan with two huge velvet bows.

My dress purchase from Vinted arrived and OMG it fits perfectly.
Huge relief as all the sizing debacles they have been having made the process a bit fraught.

Just waiting on the coat to be delivered now. Seller has been on holiday.

Not just a Vinted issue - I bought a brand I've not worn before so sizing is always a bit of a risk, plus I've lost 8+ stone so I'm not that intune with what size I should be wearing anyway.

So the dress fitting so beautifully really feels like a Christmas miracle, plus it looks even better than I thought.

I haven’t decided what I’m wearing but my dining chairs will be wearing burgundy chair covers from Amazon. Honestly I’m so chuffed with this, £14.99 for six stretch covers in a lovely rich burgundy (described as red in the listing but much nicer) to go with my vaguely Ralph Lauren theme. Will survive sticky fingers and if they go in the bin in New Year’s Day they’ll have served their purpose. Would be great if you’re entertaining with an assortment of non matching chairs.

I couldn’t find a Nafftastic Christmas thread (perhaps I should start one!) so you’ll have to put up with me posting here.

I’ve ordered this velvet skirt wrap thing from Zara and plan to wear it with a slightly loose white t shirt and another day with a black wool polo neck jumper.

Now we’re talking.

Ive worn mini silver leather skirt with thick tights, boots and nice jumper and a newlook brown and black long sleeved mini dress with thick tights and boots to events so far. Will reuse the silver skirt for another one and still wondering what to wear to a christmas restaurant outing with dh and friends...

Silver skirt was new (all saints Black Friday) but that will be only new purchase.

I’m no help to you because where I live it’s hot at Christmas time! However, to answer your question…tonight I wore a red and pink knitted vest with Fa La La on the front, wide leg jeans, candy pink Birkenstocks and candy cane earrings which matched the vest. On the weekend I’m wearing a halter neck long flowy red dress with white trim, white wedges, a white crossbody bag and Santa earrings. For the final party I’m wearing a red jumpsuit with my white wedges and white bag, not sure on the earrings yet. Hope that helps!

I’m early 50s and have bought a long tutu from Vinted along with a black Bardot fluffy jumper. Something I’d have never considered and it is a bit stand out. But sod it I’ve lost 5.5 stone this year. I deserve it 🤣 Going to dress it up with silver accessories. That’s for my more casual do with friends at a local hotel.

I am so jealous… i dont have a Christmas party to go to… not in my family, not at work. A friend is having a little get together but very i formal and i dont want to be overdressed!
