A couple of samples arrived with my SNK order today.

Hermes H24 Herbes Vives - this is described as fresh herbs, pear granita and hightech physcool (no idea what the latter means). It smells 'green' and expensive. I can detect the pear. This isn't usually my type of scent profile but I do actually quite like it. A good spring scent I think.

EM 01 + Iris - I like EM 01 and I can detect a slight variation. Need to wear this one properly to see what I think.

My The Perfume Society Winter box arrived today, this is a quick review:

Roberto Cavalli Serpentine ❤️ Love this one, it's creamy, warm and floral with a hint of spice. Exotic, sensual, and utterly luxurious 😍

Montblanc Explorer Ultra Blue a fresh, marine, citrus-woody with wood and leather base. A more masculine scent, so I’m leaving this one for my husband 🙂

Ella K Amber K 👍 a surprise like for this one, it's a rich amber with floral, cocoa, and subtle smokiness. Warm, deep, and gorgeous with a floral note through it 😁

Goldfield & Banks Tales of Amber 👎 I dislike this one, it's described as a ambergris-centered, resinous and powdery with salty/mineral hints but it's too light and bland for my taste.

BDK Parfums Nectar Oud 👍 another like, this is fruity, spicy, and woody oud. Warm, cosy, slightly sweet, a true hug in a bottle.

Jeroboam Kun Amo 👍 I like this one after dry-down. It's woody and musky with subtle fruitiness. Starts bold, but dries down warm, festive, and Christmassy 🎄

Amouage Decision ❤️ this is a true love for me. It's a luxurious, woody amber with soft smoke. Bold, Christmassy, and perfect for festive markets 🎄

Oman Luxury Nasaj 👍 another like.
Citrusy top notes balanced out by a creamy floral heart. Elegant, radiant, and very likeable 🙂

Perroy Goldfawn 👍 I like this one too even though it's slightly masculine. It's a warm oriental vanilla with cedar and sandalwood. Smooth, sweet, and addictive 💕

Shay & Blue White Peaches Lip & Cheek Balm. A peachy, soft cosmetic treat 😕 I’d have preferred another fragrance, but it’s cute.

Overall Thoughts
A cosy, comforting box with mostly warm, elegant scents. I was expecting a few more sparkly, party style fragrances for December, but I’ll definitely wear the Christmassy ones while exploring Christmas markets 🎄🎅✨. Overall, a winner for me as I like most of these with a few loves 🥇😁

Off to harvey nicks to get my frag cal- may have a scoot about and see what else they have although if BF is over and no more discounts until the sales, that may stop me.

Got the frag cal, still plenty on sale in store too. I kept the Delina which is usually a quick seller as it's so popular, but after the PDM/Escentual fiasco it felt right to keep it. It's not what I'd usually go for - a fruity rose, fruitier than I anticipated, but I am enjoying it.

ive just received perfume society winter scent subscription for anyone curious. 😀

Commodity milk just because I had the sample in my bag. This one has grown on me a lot. We’re in ‘winter’ here now as we have monsoon season upon us, so more rain than usual and can get a bit gloomy just before the downpour. So I’m reaching for comforting heavier scents currently and my freshies have taken a back seat. This is a like, not a love as it’s a touch bit synthetic to my nose especially when sniffed up close. Probably wouldn’t purchase it but have happily used up the sample.

I am really glad I got to try Ex Nihilo Fleur Narcotic (both versions) and Lust in Paradise in store and while they are all lovely and I will be very happy to get them in set/advent - I am not loosing sleep to own any of them. I don't want to blind shop anymore or to order endless sample sets - I want to prioritise brands who invest in being available in store. I resisted this temptation :)

Not sure about today, out for walk & workout & work this morning but having glitzy afternoon tea with friends and walk around town to see the lights - so this calls for something more Christmassy.

I couldn't say if I prefer Angel's Share or Granado Fervo Intenso, they serve the same purpose for me and I like them equaly. I am little over that profile to be honest, but happy to have it in my collection.

Oh you just reminded me. Mine came yesterday and was well packaged but completely forgot id ordered 2 guerlain powders. 🤷🤔
Just checked my account ive been refunded for them. 😪 they were a bargain. Gutted! I ordered 2. They could have at least sent 1. 🤷🤔🙄😪🤣

I nearly bought these ex nihilo's on vinted, but I'm so glad I didn't. I wasn't impressed either when I smelt them in store. I do like the spiky muse and I hope I like Brompton Immortals 🤞 will update about that later in the month.

I need to try that scent. I didnt think I liked vanilla but have a vanilla hand cream hat i love, Laura Mercier, so need to explore fragrance x

I need to start spraying in the evening ready for bed. Will help me use up some of my growing stash as well 🤣

Vanilla Powder is lovely but I warn you, tis strong. I got the 50ml in the fragrance lounge edit by Liberty last year which should last some time as I don't use it that often.

Fugazzi Vanilla Haze today - from the cult beauty stockings. I seem to have an endless supply of these now!

I don't get on with all vanillas but Vanilla Powder is probably the one I find hardest to be near. I don't know why, I am not smelling what people describe at all. I sprayed it on my hand to test it in store, it rubbed off my clothing - it lasts FOREVER and it's very strong projecting so if you like the scent little goes long way.

I really like the two blue talisman, and spiky muse so I has very high expectations. And to be fair - I do think they are great not great enough for the price.

SOTMorning is Amouage Decision from. The Perfume Society Winter Edition. I wanted something Christmassy and atmospheric this morning, so I reached for Amouage Decision, and wow, it delivers! It’s rich, festive and beautifully opulent, but definitely a powerhouse.
For wfh it’s a bit too strong (I’m already feeling a little headache creeping in 🙈), so I need to remember to only wear this when I'm going out for the day, I think it'll be perfect for Christmas markets, frosty walks, and outdoor festive vibes 🎄✨ but defo not for the house 🤣

I'm probably going to try to scrub it off and put on a more cosy scent.

Am in SL santal majascule today. Love it. I actually used to really hate it and sold a bottle about 2 years ago. Not sure why my taste has changed so much

It's truly bizzare how tastes can change and last years yuk is this years yum and vice versa. One of the reasons I don't generally go for full bottles. Also I find perfumes very seasonal and what's perfect for a cold winter's day feels totally wrong in the height of summer (looking at you Mumbai noise)

Trying a sample of PixiFig today. It came free with an order. Sprayed it liberally and I don't like it at all. Smells like bathroom spray to me. I didn't have high hopes for it as it's £15 for a 15ml bottle on the website but sometimes you do find a gem with affordable scents. Not today though.

To be fair to PixiFig it's not that bad now it's settled down. It's a bit sweeter and less floral smelling Glade. Still not keen though.

The Vanilla Haze got a mention in the office today, it's the bigger less familiar office so I'm a bit more self conscious as I don't know everyone here, but the person next to me was very complimentary and I offered her a spritz. Hey, maybe it's the new way to network!

Sounds like they have stock control issues after the BF rush. I have 2 guerlain eyeliners + a givenchy prisme libre on order but I'm not so emotionally attached with those (as I am the frag)

I am getting some emails with we are sorry we haven't send your items yet. Not only for beauty items. I am ok with that, it is to be expected. But it is disappointing if they sold more they they have in stock - it happens but as buyer I prefer later then not delivering the item at all.
