They are buggers as usually youd get all those in a scent kit for £150 tops, 10%.off for beauty drop. They must have realized how popular they were getting. Not tempted at that price. Also the woody one lists musc ravageur bjt picture.is of something else. Any i particularly fancy, ill wait for them to make their way on to vinted.

Not tempted by any of this Liberty sets. SOTD is Angel’s Share. I’m putting the Christmas tree up
later so I thought it was fitting.

Yeah, I kind of feel cheated as it's such a price hike compared to the normal kits although the BD discount is on. Even if I really liked all four scents in one kit, which I don't, it would still feel like a rip off. The only ones I have any interest in are Tana Meadow and Musc Ravageur.

I am not tempted with the sets either. After such strong kit this is disappointing.

The kit is still available and I’m dithering. I don’t love Sandalwood Temple and have a few of the same sized bottles, I’ve got loads of vanilla too but I keep going back for a look.

SOTD is the same as the last couple of days because I only brought one bottle away with me - Prada Paradoxe (the absolu one or whatever they call the stronger one).

I don't love this as much as when I got it for last xmas. I think after going on a scent binge this year my tastes have adjusted slightly. I find this a bit too sweet now. It's still nice and I'll use it but probably wouldn't buy it today.

May be me, as fragrance has just become my new thing, but they seem a bit pricey. 🤔

I think they'll be aiming for people buying Xmas gifts with these sets not perfumistas buying for ourselves. Four scents is about right for a gift for someone else. The usual bags with about 8-9 scents in them I reckon would seem overwhelming for anyone not a major frag head.

I agree - I think they may be aimed at people wandering into Liberty and not having much of a clue what to purchase as a gift. These sets might be an easy sell if the buyer knows the person they are purchasing for generally likes floral, fresh or woody scents.

SOTD is a blind pick from my ever expanding box of minis - it's Vilhelm's Moon Carnival. I'd say it's a fresh floral - I like it. I don't have a particularly good nose for fragrance notes, but I'm getting the freesia, tuberose and vanilla (I like vanilla scents)

They did similar last year, if anyone remembers, with the ridiculously priced fragrance lounge edit with a number of full bottles. Came out just before christmas but they seemed to have loads and loads after so don't think they sold well.

Still a gamble as a gift as there is such variation between the types of scent and some are really quite niche eg swimming pool which to me smells like medicine, despite the lovely name.

The Beauty Detective has reviewed the SDJ Beija Flor Elasti-Cream - she says it smells like Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540.

My heart always sinks when I see a SDJ product in a kit or GWP - maybe I need to rethink my aversion.

@keepincoolI never made that association before but now you’ve shared it, I see what she means. They have quite different notes but there is a similarity there with the dry down of BR. But beija flor is more sweet and fruity, more vanilla.

I think maybe they learned from that. It came out quite late in Dec but I don't see them doing another one at such a high price point.

Yeah, none of those Liberty sets tempt me. The woody would be of most interest but it's the worst value (price per ml.) They should do a spicy set.

Anyone have any suggestions? I dont like the classic Sexiest Scent. There's something in there that smells sort of scratchy to.me and WIDOMH is too sweet. Open to others though. Maybe something a bit cleaner and fresher for NY?

My escentual parcel arrived and i'm very disappointed, the box was ripped and had been taped up by the courier inside was NOT my order but a random book! I think there must have been some shenanigans in the dpd sorting office whether by accident or design, and I'm not ruling out design as for someone to remove the perfumes and put back a BOOK points to some form of criminal activity.

Beyond annoyed, luckily paid via Klarna so I have some protection there and they can put the payment on hold. Have contacted Escentual to resolve.

No Marly set for me.

Hope you have better luck than me.i reckon its rife this time of year. Seasonal temps trying to make a few bucks. The box was properly ripped and taped back up, thry obviously put a book in to weight it.

That's terrible. Mine came via DPD today but luckily was fine. The PDM is sealed so I can't have a sniff of the bottles as it's a gift.

Thanks - I'm sure they will but I feel a bit violated knowing someone's gone in and nicked my stuff - they must look out for the perfume symbol on the boxes. I know it's not the crime of the century - but bloody annoying! Luckily I haven't got that much into Marly, this was to be a bit of a first try for me, and they are blummin expensive so maybe that's a sign from the gods to stay away from PDM. I have enough going on with Byredo and BDK and other decent houses! And hopefully some of these 10ml sizes make their way on to ebay.

Meanwhile I've got Carolina Herrera Good Girl on tonight. This is a comforting, cozy bedtime scent for me, a bit like MiaN describes AV for her (NOT saying the scent profiles are in any way similar, but the vibe/feeling/comforting effect).

Also had a shite day at work, felt completely out of my depth in a meeting with more senior people talking over me and got serious imposter syndrome, so all in all I'm in need of a cosy scent and than glad to go to bed soon and sleep it all away.

That’s so annoying @IDontHateRainbows My Cult Beauty order went missing on Sunday and I’ve had to jump through hoops to prove it. Clearly stolen, the photo was a hand holding my parcel with a big pile of other stuff dumped on a path in the background.

Hope you get it sorted with a replacement
