@Ilovepond yes it was just in my basket yesterday. I still didn't go for it as already have one for myself and it wasn't enough of an incentive to buy another.

Thanks @Evergreen21 GB are offering me a ‘free’ GRUUM but whether that’s something you would need to redeem via a code and pay postage or would just come with the a/c I don’t know. I loathe GRUUM products either way so it’s no incentive for me.

I have had a fondness for the GB a/c since it first released. If they reduced it, I might be tempted. However, many reviews state the box arrived badly damaged with GB not being interested in making this right. As the cute box is a big draw for me, I would be miffed if it arrived damaged.

I just ordered the glossybox!! Didn't get any extras unfortunately but with the £10 discount I think it was a great purchase. Really hope it doesn't arrive damaged though. So excited! This is my first AC purchase (for myself) and I've been stalking this thread for ages. I ended up doing a spreadsheet with GB, LF and JL coming out on top.
If the others had discounts I might be tempted to get another (also LOVE the Liberty and fortnum & mason but can't imagine either of those will get discounted enough from their high start price for me to justify the purchase)

@IlovePond you saw it has been discounted £10? Not sure if that's enough got you but just thought id poing that out in case.

ASOS have 20%off selected face and body items today on the app. It doesn't work on the advent but does on lots of their skin and beauty boxes including their Christmas eve treats beauty box and k skincare one. Might be worth checking out of you need stocking fillers for teens or adults.

I’ve managed to stick to Liberty only although the discounted HN frag was very tempting. There may well be another if there are some good discounts.

I can get it for £75 as GB seem to think I’m a subscriber, (I am not - long story!) but I already have too much stuff so it would have to go lower for me or have a good gift with it.

Oh im trying to resist that one 🤣 but would save for next year, although not sure when next year. They last ages, as someone's mentioned before.

I've got JL and don't need anything else but teen DDs are after one. I think I got the ASOS one with a decent discount last year for my 13 year old which my 16 year old was jealous of and now wants, so am hoping for a discount on that.

KiKo looks good but it's too much, I ideally would like something under £75.

@IlovePond I bought two of the Glossybox calendars a few weeks ago, one each for my daughter and me. Two separate orders, each well wrapped in bubble wrap so not damaged at all. I think it’s the best value calendar still.

I’m watching to see if GB goes significantly lower. There are a few things I want in it, mainly the palette. It’s not low enough for me to justify the cost at the moment.

I have resolved that if Jarrolds have a black Friday offer I might go for their 12 days. But since they’ve jot discounted any of their kits I don’t think they will…

I’ve got my Liberty and my only other purchase will be for a mega-bargain such as the Ciate nail varnish one of a few years ago. I think that ended up being £11, it was bloody brilliant!

I'm so pleased it's not just me that loathes Gruum products. I got the free box last year which consisted of 4 x festive soaps. When I took them out of the boxes A. They are so small that they are useless and B. I don't know what they make them from but you could just squash them with your fingers like soft wax. I make candles and soaps and soap should be Hard! I've tried other stuff from them as well but never liked any of it. I always thought it was just me and the stuff comes up constantly on the bargains thread. I want to know why they feel the need to constantly 'give' so much stuff away.

Edited to add: I LOVE my GB and it has pride of place in the hallway. It arrived perfectly intact. It also now has a Christmas tree atop it thanks to DD!

I had left because I was happy with just my liberty and need to be good on beauty purchases however now I've decided I would like a fragrance calender IF one is reduced enough so I'm rejoining in hope of a bargain although I know I will be tempted with the other bargains so I'm playing a very dangerous game 🤣

I also disliked the gruum bits I got. I’d describe the products as ‘style over substance’ if they weren’t so incredibly, desperately unstylish!

Mine always looks like a Xmas decoration shop has exploded all over it, due to my compulsion to put all my ornaments on at once, (and I have lots), some of which date back to my childhood! I admire a tastefully done tree, but don’t seem to be able to restrain myself😹

I am now inspired to put my Liberty and refilled DIY Shiseido box out on display, if only as an aide-memoire to DH that Xmas is round the corner…

Was in Sainsbury’s earlier and saw, as expected, that their calendar is £40 nectar price. Only one left in my store and a big empty section so has clearly been popular.

Thoughts on John Lews vs Harrods ACs... I know I can get £50 off the Harrods, but JL hasn't blinked yet sadly and I'm kind of leaning towards it

My husband has bought F&M for my birthday/Christmas present. He usually get me Jo Malone or Jo Loves but I’ve still got lots left from the last few years and there isn’t that much difference in the contents each year. I thought the F&M would suit me best as there seemed to be less makeup and cleansers than many other calendars and more perfume. But I've completely forgotten what’s in it so it will be a lovely surprise.
