The Sana Jardin Tiger By Her Side has good longevity. I can smell it on my wrists still

Warning everyone to be very careful if ordering from Harvey Nichols. They have lost my calendar and that of another poster on this thread and being very shitty about refunding or replacing. Luckily im not desperate for it as got one in store but I would like my money back, or the sodding calendar. On the verge of contacting my bank to do a charge back.

That is disgraceful! Harvey Nicks have really looked shocking with these advent calendars, their customer service has been terrible. But don't let them fob you off.

Your contract of sale is with Harvey Nicks and under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, they have to replace or refund. Tell them clearly that if they don't provide you with a satisfactory response with (48 hours?), you will raise a goods not received dispute with your bank. You can also threaten them with trading standards for refusing your consumer rights.

Blanket Snuggle Up GIF by MOODMAN

It's raining here in Leeds, so I have lit my pumpkin candle (hoping it's done after tonight so I can get my Christmas ones out), grabbed my cosy blanket and sprayed on sandlewood Temple. Such a cosy fragrance

Good idea @IDontHateRainbows . Time to crack open the BTSO Dirty Milk here.

Still not clear to me how to avoid the transfer of the perfume onto coats and outerwear knits but sounds like it’s a challenge for everyone. I don’t wash my coat every wear and I can smell the previous perfumes as I pick it up

I wear scarves a lot, so the perfume transfers onto them and not my coat, and a lot easier to wash.

So what scents might suit the rainy northern weather? Salford based here, and yes, it's raining...

Im not too far away. I tend to prefer cozy, gourmand type scents this time of year with vanilla or nut accords.
Bdk velvet tonka/ atelier tobacco volute/ vanilla 28/ bdk gris charnel/ replica afternoon delight

There is another replica called when the rain stops....for if it ever does.

MiaN · 11/11/2025 07:16

For this weather Gris Charnel is really good. This and Velvet Aura are my most used this season. I would wear them in office. BDK leather vanille too but not as much

I also like Jo Malone Ginger Biscuit and Sandalwood and Spiced Apricot, Rituals Velvet Aura, Lost Cherry Tom Ford, Lira Xerjoff and D&G Devotion - intense the hqzelnutty version. And for evening spicy vanilla like Penhaligons Babylon.

MiaN · 11/11/2025 07:24

I spray on my wrist and clothes on the winter, spraying for distance so they're is no concentration of perfume in one place and my sleeves cover the wrist. I haven't had issues rubbing off to outer clothes.

I orderd 50ml +10ml of Turn The Page from niche beauty with 25% off code. I was tempted to get the big bottle but reminded myself I have not finished 50ml in years. It reminds me of discontinued fragrance I wore for years, but modernised and not too retro so it should work

MiaN · 11/11/2025 07:38

My Kayli Burning Cherry has gotten very intense and lasting. I mixed it with Devotion intense to get the nutty notes one and make more like lost cherry, one spray each. Long after Devotion was gone, burning cherry was there and while I can still smell the cherry the smoke was like burning fires ... Not sure if I can make it work or time to let go. I try to ratian the use of lost cherry as it's so expensive but it is the best cherry to my nose

If you like that, try Afnan cherry bouquet. It's very similar to TF Lost Cherry but a fraction of the price. Got it off Notino, around £40 for a massive bottle.

Ooh what's this one like as I got it in the Liberty kit but haven't tried it yet and as it's sealed I don't want to open it unless I think it will suit

Carolina Herrera Very Good Girl today. It's a lovely fruity one, not sure I'm 'in love' with it. I think I prefer the Elixir which has some bitter almond notes and is a bit deeper.

Ah I am not doing that, I am spraying it very close to my wrist and neck. So there’s a lot of perfume in one area

Vyrao Witchy Woo today. Did consider Ex Nihilo Fleur Narcotique.

I honestly have no idea, the opening reminds me of midnight rain la praire - long discontinued. Its not citrus or fresh and clean but I can't guess if it's going to be one for you or not.

If you want one to match the weather, then Vyrao Mamajuju. I wore it recently and described it as very appropriate for a wet autumn day, which it is here. Wet earth, wet leaves, a faint hint of smoke from someone's woodburner in the distance...
Unfortunately the cumin is too strong to my nose and overwhelms the more interesting scents.

I randomly chose Sumi Hinoki Buly today and was hit by the smokiness, which I'm not keen on. I spritzed M&S coconut edp on top and now I smell soapy. Not a good combination 🙁

I do find that M&S White Coconut is a bit soapy with the first spray but then it dries down t something lovely either longevity. Hopefully you’ll smell much nicer in an hour!

paristotokyo · 11/11/2025 13:20

Sote is thé noir 29. I love how it settles down. Really unique and hard to describe. I decided to look it up on fragrantica and the reviews are wild! As each person describes it differently and it seems it’s a love or hate type of frag. It’s one of the first fragrances I bought actually when I got into scents and I still like it a lot.

QueefofSheena · 11/11/2025 13:47

SOTD is Call For a Good Time from the Discotheque discovery set. It was initially a bit soapy but it’s settled down nicely. I may look for an 8ml on Vinted

JoRaRaRa · 11/11/2025 13:51

SOTD for this afternoon is PDM Cassili 😊

IDontHateRainbows · 11/11/2025 15:20

Ive got the vanilla haze on today. Finally a fugazzi i like.
Just had an ebay buyer complaining his perfume smelled of alcohol. I was like you do know what perfume is made of.....

Directly to you? And not fragrantica? Odd! Especially if it was something like Kilian Angels Share

Picked this up from vinted, gorgeous warm laundry type scent (H&M)
