Posted on the gwp/ freebies thread - Liberty appear to have a beauty GWP worth over £300 with a £200 spend on beauty. The site is being a bit glitchy and it kept disappearing from my basket. I think I managed to nab one in the end 🤞

It works on the kits, but not on the BAC unfortunately.

I can't quite see what the gwp includes, I just nabbed one!

Here’s the listing https://www.libertylondon.com/uk/beauty-gift-with-purchase-R705883006.html you can click on it from your basket @keepincool . Yes shame it doesn’t work on BACs. it says 50ml Augustinus Bader product but that must be a mistake. The minis shown in the photo are like 10ml, maybe 8ml!

7 perfumes and a candle. Things I had in the August GWP like Zelens anti-aging, SUQQU Aquafons. Really not into the ripple incense stuff, why does it keep appearing in beauty. I use the Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel daily, 50ml is RRP £13 so £10.40 at Cult Beauty 20%.

The Beauty Gift with Purchase includes:

  • Philip Kingsley Elasticizer 40ml
  • Vilhelm Parfumerie Moon Carnival Eau de Parfum 2ml
  • Augustinus Bader The Ultimate Soothing Cream 50ml
  • Bibbi Ghost of Tom Eau de Parfum 2ml
  • Bamford Citrus Hand and Body Wash 50ml
  • Ripple Incense Droplets Discovery Collection 6pcs
  • Zelens 3T Complex Anti-Ageing Cream 15ml

Not tempted at all by the GWP, spend too high and a lot of small sizes plus stuff I’ve had before.

I have been thinking all year about cancelling my BD subscription and think maybe January be my last one - need to come off this thread though to avoid FOMO 😀

BIossomtoes · 04/11/2025 10:03

I think Liberty needs to rethink its offering and return to the days when there was one GWP in September and the contents were really good. They seem to be relying heavily on the kits now that always contain at least one product you don’t want and I definitely don’t want any more bags, I’m up to my knees in them. I continue with BD because it makes a couple of my obscenely expensive beauty additions less painful and the free delivery is good to have but they need to be less lazy with selecting the contents and stop the repeats. How much bloody Bamford and Philip Kingsley is enough?

BCSurvivor · 04/11/2025 16:47

I really like the kits, wasn't tempted by any of the four kits launched last month but am loving both the Violette kit and the Overnight Edit.
But I do agree that, compared to previous GWPs from a few years ago, this one and the last couple have been disappointing, full of Beauty Drop samples and not offering anything new.

AndeanFlamingo · 04/11/2025 18:23

I'm disappointed with the GWP, it's just beauty drop and kit leftovers.

TheCryingTheBitchAndTheFloordrobe · 04/11/2025 19:10

Agree about the GWP being a bit disappointing. I feel like they’re just chucking in perfume samples to boost the ‘value’ and not really giving any thought to contents.

Giftwithpurchase · 04/11/2025 19:25

Ok so I'm waaay behind and I've finally opened my beauty drop after losing it for a couple of weeks over the school hols lol.. oh my word those perfumes, both smell so so bad on me 😂 😭- the purple one is the longest lasting ever too and even tho I tried to scrub it off I still keep catching a whiff and thinking the cat must've weed near me 😂.. I'm so baffled how different perfumes smell on us as individuals (& really happy for those who love these) .. other bits are nice and I'm really looking fwd to trying the Sisley mask

JoRaRaRa · 04/11/2025 20:56

I wanted the Liberty gwp when I saw 50ml ab, but even then it wasn't tempting me to spend the minimum amount. I definitely don't want another mini of it, I already have it in the CB supreme skin edit.

@Giftwithpurchase I like the purple fragrance but it literally lasts 5 mins on me. I can't smell it after a few minutes. I might put it on ebay as tried and tested. I also really don't like the 1875, if anyone wants the sample, message me and I'll send it to you 😊

Primrosespaw · 04/11/2025 20:58

GWP is no fun for BD folk. Weve had all that before. Wheres the excitement? Not persuading me to buy. Fine if you are running low on stuff I guess.

I guess if it's stuff you were going to buy anyway, then it's worth getting the freebie, but I can't imagine it tempting people who don't feel like they need anything.

BakeOffRewatch · 04/11/2025 21:12

I’m a bit put out, there was a coat I wanted in the 30% off, I went to try it in store last week and they didn’t have it in the colour I saw online (first warning!). I then ordered two sizes online, one came nicely packaged by DPD, the second one was open arrived today with one of the flaps cut off and lightly taped down. Neither were the online colour! Completely different colour, same as I tried in store. They don’t even stock the colour online. They seem genuinely sorry and recognised the inconvenience and disappointment, I went in store to refund both today, but their online front is awful! I used to find it funny them mislabelling sizes but it’s really poor, and yes the AB is clearly not 50ml.

It has really put me off Liberty for a bit.

Also, they cunningly released the gwp a week after the 4 kits. I presume this is because the people like me who would buy the kits straight away have done so and the fence sitters they are now trying to entice.

Alabas · 04/11/2025 21:37

The GWP is rubbish, and I was holding out for a few things I wanted. Surely someone from Liberty is keeping an eye on comments? No more PK!!!

They can't really be aimed a BD members as it's mostly a rerun of stuff that's been in the BD in the last 12 months. There's a couple of things I wouldn't mind having again but certainly not enough to tempt me to buy. It's fine though I've spent more than enough at Liberty in the last few months.

I agree, there's nothing here that I want or don't already have.

I remember buying items for the September 2023 GWP and being so pleased with it. Might have a Google to remind myself what was in it. Also, I'm sure the qualifying spend was lower too.

Giftwithpurchase · 05/11/2025 09:10

@JoRaRaRa it's amazing how differently perfume comes across. It's such a strong one on me - my husband accused me of ordering a takeaway without him last night as he said the house smelt of spring rolls 😂 😂.. on closer inspection it was the perfume

Arrearing50 · 06/11/2025 15:17

Same here. I’m sure there were a lot more deals out by this time last year, I wonder if we’ll see tonnes unleashed late Nov this year due to budget

IDontHateRainbows · 06/11/2025 15:54

GwPs have deteriorated a lot recently. I remember 3 years ago HN did a fantastic scent kit, akin to the kits liberty do now and charge £100+, but free with i think £150 or so spend. To be honest that's what got me into this whole game originally.
And Fenwick did great bags, actually filled with decent stuff not like the beauty bag recently that was literally a empty bag.

BCSurvivor · 06/11/2025 17:40

@keepincool re GWP - I've got two of those boxes in my workroom, one with seeds and one with threads.
But my point is, those boxes were from a kit that was brought out for Mothers Day at least three years ago, maybe more, have Liberty rediscovered them in an old store cupboard???

Ahh, I wonder? I like the box better than the square BD one so don't mind where they found it! - the gwp itself isn't great as it is all sample sizes, but i wanted the new scent kit, a Davines set and a Sunday Riley kit anyway, so it's a little bonus.

I like the candle and incense cones and have used the nail varnish today, but I wouldn't rush to try and spend £200 on things you don't really need to get the gwp.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 07/11/2025 06:26

Considering I wasn't sure at first I really like the Fugazzi Purple perfume as it smells like a softer version of Baccarat Rouge on me & it's not just me that thinks that as DD & two of my fragrance obsessed friends said the same.
However they're all a bit peeved as Purple smells nothing like BR on them at all.
It's must be how the synthetic amber & violet molecules in Purple react with my skin chemistry.

LBTY 1875 I really like that too, smells like Liz Earle No15 mixed with Chanel Gabrielle Essence. (Well it does on me)

Wallasey123 · 07/11/2025 13:51

I’ve had loads of compliments when I’ve worn both LBTY 1875 and Fugazzi Liberty together. Don’t think I can justify getting full size of both but I might finally use my BD points on a big size of 1875 for Xmas

pinkchampagne1 · 08/11/2025 10:46

I joined the BD 3 weeks ago and still haven’t received my box. Does it usually take this long?
