Winter day dresses - suggestions and styling

What are you buying? Particularly interested in something suitable for large boobs - so needs some shape and a flattering neckline.

Then how do you style it? Belt to break it up? Scarf or long necklace? I'm keen on chunkier boots, knee length or DM type. I feel a dress makes footwear a significant feature so maybe more interesting is better?

I have this and I’ve had lots of compliments. I don’t wear it with the top underneath. I also have big boobs. I wear it with tights and DM patent Chelsea boots. I dithered because of the cost but I’m so happy with it.

I am a fan of needlecord and denim dresses at this time of year, but I haven’t found any I want to buy this year yet.

Shirt dress in needlecord or lightweight denim. I have one from Tu from a few years ago.
I'd look pregnant in the Baukjen one because it would hang off my bosom.

I have this dress in both the dark pink and d a lovely red tartan they did last year. I’m a E cup. It looks lovely on and I get so many compliments. Style it with my cherry red DMs or high top converse.

Oh my @keeperofdarktails that suggestion of unfolded is amazing. I have never heard of the company. They sound very ethical and nice dresses too.
On the website it states that 30% of clothes made this year won’t get sold. That is shocking. I hadn’t realised.

Will keep an eye on this thread as I’d like some new dresses for work. Something fairly casual but not denim, and can be paired with tights and Chelsea boots. Wouldn’t even mind knee boots to go without tights if I feel brave enough.

I pop into Matalan every now and again, and don't often find things I like but I found this dress last week. I'm planning to wear it to work on Monday with a pair of chunky biker boots. It's flattering and a lovely fabric.

I am back into my knee length or just above the knee Autumn dresses as I’m bored of midi now.
They are all autumn colours, mostly printed such as paisley and I wear them with thick tights and slouchy ankle boots. I have a new shiny wine coloured leather jacket and matching bag and a couple of blouson type of jackets in khaki, green.
I really suit Autumn colours and have lots of bags that go with the dresses.

In the really cold months (colder than now) I live in knitted dresses for work. Uniqlo does some good ones, but I’ve also got several I love from Roman, of all places. I always get compliments when I wear them. For example:

I got a couple of knitted dresses in the Patra sale. My priorities are comfort and breathable fabrics that don't need ironing after they've been through the wash.

This! I can’t wait for midi dresses to go away! I’m not really tall (5’6) and they just look so frumpy on me.

I usually get my winter dresses from Distubia and wear boots from Lanx with them. I have I think 5 pairs of Lanx so can mix the look up a bit!

I’m very tempted by this. I’m thinking with a jumper, thick tights and chunky boots in the winter.

I still like them but have worn them for about five years now so I thought to myself it’s time for a change.

That one is great. I have some pinafores, and they're great. Black t-shirt, thick opaques, pull-on dress over them and I look presentable.
