The regulars on the thread mainly discuss luxury BAC and this dies down by September when everyone has purchased and forgotten the contents. Then it goes into discussion on what’s selling out, what hasn’t and what deals and discounts to be had on ACs in the lead up to December. Then in December we move onto AC opening threads!

Perfume shop advent looks good. £90. Could share the bits with my partner. I will have to sleep on it🤣

Do you know it they are dab bottles or sprays? Not keen on the dabbers 🤔

@powtonharris I had it a couple of years ago, and it was majority dab. Maybe a couple of sprays. I just decant dabbers into atomiser though!

I’ve gone for Perfume Shop. The 2023 one came with a refillable atomiser, so hopefully they will do the same again. I’ll use the men’s fragrance as stocking fillers for my sons

Yes. Comes with a 5ml Travelo Not for me though. Still waiting hopefully for SNK perfume advent.

If SNK have one I may get it too 😬 I’ve been quite restrained so far. Harrods frag was for my birthday and I’ve ordered nothing else so far.

Just picked up my latest Vinted purchases - the Tatcha serum and gisou lip oil to add to my calendar. My DH said ‘why don’t you just make yourself a whole new calendar and refill last year’s box?’ I think he was joking but I said ‘what a good idea’ and dug it out of the cupboard. I think he regrets mentioning it now! 😆

I ordered the Elle Advent Calendar on 10 September & received a confirmation email but then nothing.
Chased it up & got this response:
“Thank you for your email, and I’m sorry for the confusion this has caused.
After further review, I can confirm that the payment for your order of the Elle Advent Calendar Beauty Box was returned due to the item being out of stock at the time of processing.
We are currently awaiting replenishment at our warehouse, and the item will be made available again once new stock arrives.
We recommend checking our website periodically to see when the product is back on offer.

Is there a spoiler for the perfume shop ? Im on the waitlist but not seen any details. Fragrance shop was a no for me so hoping theirs is better ( a common theme this year sadly !)

I went for the perfume shop,feeing uncertain of Look Fantastic sending the perfume advent. Hour after I ordered from the perfume shop, Look Fantastic send confirmation of shipping

I recall trying Versace eros energy and liking it for myself, it's a good citrus - I don't mind wearing freshies even if they marketed as for male

the fragrance shop have few this or that but I looked at 100ml for females and 50 for males roughly.

@YouAreEffluentKim I got the My protein one for my DS last year and it was brilliant, well worth the money! He doesn’t want it this year as he’s doing a different regime but I’ll likely get him a few bars for his stocking

I suppose if we are all so disappointed by it, then it may be reduced, but even if it was half price, I'm not sure I'd buy it. They have got it so wrong this year (again, maybe expectations were high, but most folk were never going to not notice the enormous price hike and bland offerings)

I'm currently looking at some lovely Next beauty boxes instead of splurging on another AC. They never fail to disappoint.

That's crap @CloversAreTrumps I had been going to go for Elle until recently. Definitely struck off of my list now (there's not much left on it, tbh)

I ordered Elle 14 Sept after it being highlighted on this thread. I got it yesterday. Yodel took 6 days to deliver it!! I got it for £109 & it looks pretty good for the money. Though some items are small.

My Rituals calendar turned up so I will stop grousing about Sephora. Looks good, can’t check the contents without spoiling the box but it weighs a ton and is intact, so I assume it’s OK.

Oh no, that’s disappointing. Mine arrived really quickly, I must have been lucky. It’s poor that you had to chase it to find out.

Glad it’s arrived @CordeliaNaismithVorkosigan Yes - it’s so heavy - it would bring my wall down if I tried to hang it!

Place marking. I am late to this party and haven't chosen a calendar (s) yet. Need to do some research!
