Wedding dress for 50 year old, second marriage, not keen on fussiness

Not even sure about white/ivory versus a bolder colour.

I know people will say wear whatever you want but I don't know what I want!!!

I don't want to look like mother of the bride but equally don't want to be all trussed up.

In normal life I like tailoring, dark rich colours or pale blue, and nothing fussy or frilly/girly.

Wedding would be very small, during winter and either in a nice small hotel or registry office tbc.

Thoughts and ideas please! Especially about white vs not!

Preview didn't load: the coat. It's £750.

That's gorgeous!

What do you make of a dress like this? You'd need the coat! Rat & Boa have an alterations service; price guide here. The out of stock sizes are currently available at Liberty.

I'm going to stop looking now, it's making me feel dissatisfied 🤣

Inez Dress

Cut on the bias from silky viscose for a feel good, figure-skimming stretch, Inez is our closed-back update on the Amaris silhouette.

Returning as I have now found a cream wool midi skirt, slightly A line that actually fits me!

As my top half is slim, I'd like to emphasise that with a top that is very slim fitting/sleek and not at all baggy. Needs to be size 6/Xs.

I'd also like it to look appropriately smart, possibly a bit glam as obviously the skirt is at the more casual end of bride wear! And finally it probably needs sleeves or I will freeze!

I am changing in the evening into something else so this is for the registry office and a champagne toast afterwards!

And Rixo may be worth having a look at.

Thank you! Some of the dresses are lovely but as per my last message, I'm going with separates and have now got a lovely slightly A line wool skirt in cream and want glam very slim fitting tops to go with it. The Reformation one posted above is a possible but would need a strapless bra which I'm not so keen on. More of that sort of thing or very fine/slim fit cashmere?

Maybe then a nice cream cashmere wrap on top as long as it won't be forever coming undone?

Ah sorry - missed the update about separates.
