The regulars on the thread mainly discuss luxury BAC and this dies down by September when everyone has purchased and forgotten the contents. Then it goes into discussion on what’s selling out, what hasn’t and what deals and discounts to be had on ACs in the lead up to December. Then in December we move onto AC opening threads!

Looks like lots of you have ordered the SNK calendar. I was starting to experience a bit of FOMO and wondered if I should also purchase it, but looked again at contents and although there are some things I would like to try, there is also quite a bit that I am not that bothered about, plus I really don’t need it!

Wow, it wasn’t long at all…….

I watched that on mute, but then I watch most beauty influencers on mute. The JM box looks stunning, I just had absolutely no need for the rest of the calendar, but it is absolutely beautiful.

I have absolutely no FOMO about SNK (thank god) as I'm just not drawn to it at all. Maybe its because its above a certain price point and my brain goes 'Nah'. It could also be because some of the products aren't on my radar (As in I'm not aware of them) I also have to be really careful. I don't actually think I could cope with having four or five ACs as I'd get completely overwhelmed.

I bet some of those will sell too due to SNK shipping restrictions this year.

I ordered SNK with standard delivery and just got a notification from Royal Mail that it'll arrive on Thursday 11th! I didn't expect it for weeks after last year's debacle! I am a Deluxe member not sure if that's made a difference but I definitely don't have the next day delivery pass.

Oh, noted, thanks. I usually put it in the loft but I'll put it all under the bed this year 😊

I’ve just sat down, I think the baby gets the memo that I’m thinking about buying an AC and decides not to nap!

Looked into Cult Beauty 24hr “£20 voucher headline”, you’d get 240 status points anyway as it’s 1 point per £, so £10 credit as 100 points is £5. 480 points is £20. So it’s really only an extra £10 offer.

😲 Really fast! I'm not sure why I'm shocked though, it was the same with the Harrods fragrance

I hope they are stuck with them. Again, im not sure why so shocked when this happens with almost everything that has demand.

I haven't watched many beauty influencers in the past but have developed a bit of a TikTok habit recently. I find many of them intensely irritating as they offer no constructive analysis and just rave about everything, and called products 'she' is awful. At least the women who knows nothing about perfume did neither of those things!

Is this implying there’s a competition to win one or saying a chance to buy one? Two very different things!

Speaking of Liberty - I went to visit it irl today. Once again I was surprised by how small some of the items are.

I am attaching some pictures in case anyone finds this useful.

The bag and box are lovely.

I can’t imagine justifying spending £300-£400+ on a SpaceNK advent calendar! At that price point, you are better off just buying the beauty minis in store!

Hmm was thinking of getting Liberty. I’ll check the sizes..

That's why I think so many people are miffed at how SpaceNK did it. In the end I got one and as at 4.40pm it hasn't sold out, so all those selling it might end up stuck with it.

I went on a scent tour in Liberty. My findings were as follows:

Vanilla Powder - ok - a bit too much like food for my taste, but I will use the one that came today. (Just as well, because I could swear the seller has opened it because there are fragments of something inside the cellophane which she didn’t photograph for the listing 😾)

Blue Nihilo - didn’t smell of anything much to me - I would probably use it whilst not being able to smell it!

Sparkling Jo - beautiful bottle - smelt like I had dropped lager over myself 😹 As this is not a scent I aspire to nowadays, it’s definitely not for me.

Zephrine - ok - bit acidic but if I had it, I would use it

Bibbi - smelt revolting, (not as bad as the Harrods Creed sample)

I didn’t bother trying the DS Durga because none of their scents smell of anything at all to me, (o know they are meant to be layered, but can’t see the point)

Couldn’t find the others.

Until those that do it and pay above the odds get hit with huge tariff fees on top as it has to be based on the actual value of the items within - hence why SpaceNK had to pause US out of it.

I also tracked down Milk: Commodity in a really cool shop called Bloom near Covent Garden.

The lady in the shop couldn’t have been more helpful, and let me squirt with abandon.

I think she thought I was a bit bonkers when I said that calling a perfume Milk grossed me out! (But it does!)

I tried all the Milk range but none of them smelt of much to me. I was expecting to be knocked sideways by the scent, (looking at you, Vanilla Powder 😹) but I couldn’t smell much at all.

In a nutshell - it was just ok - I thought I could smell a bit of vanilla and coconut but I have no idea if that’s what is in it.
