Thanks for the new thread.
Spent some time today setting up my spreadsheet and looking at the info so far. I think the only multi brand ones for which we have a proper full reveal are Harrods, Liberty, F&M and Elle? For some of the others I think we just have pictures and Beauty Detective’s guess of contents from that. I looked at the Selfridges list and was pretty sure it’s wrong - perfumes are too big compared with the picture, can’t be sure of shades etc and it is also too few items.
So I have done some analysis of Harrods, F&M and Liberty so far - pictures attached. All three are decent.
Harrods best for skincare and best by “value” but this does come from 15ml sizes of stupidly expensive moisturisers etc. There are only 9 genuinely full sized products (I don’t count travel sizes or single use face masks etc as full size). Odd that there are absolutely no bath and body products - there has usually been at least a bath oil in previous versions. Also disappointing choice of make up this year. I think if you want to try lux skincare you’re unlikely to ever buy full price, this is a great option.
Liberty has done really well to include a lot of new products and products not seen previously in advent calendars, which is a big appeal. I valued most of the travel sizes as pro rata full size though, and got to rather less value overall than that quoted. Eight fragrances and mostly a good range too, so that is another selling point. Because of the number of new products, this wins for me on number of things I really want, so a definite contender for me.
F&M as usual has a lot of nice stuff, and then a fair bit of lower value and mediocre things (small soap in a tin, single sachet of bath salt?). As expected lots of bath and body, but what skincare there is is good. Highest number of full size, but that does include a beauty blender. On the fence so far on this one.
