A tiny bit of elastane in jeans can be very helpful for those of us with a small waist/big hips. Without stretch it’s quite a challenge for me to get jeans over my giant backside! But 1% is plenty and I do have 100% cotton jeans which are designed for hourglass shapes!

Could you share where you get your hourglass jeans from, please? I tried the curve tailored trousers from Abercrombie but the fabric was shiny polyester so I returned them and I’m reluctant to try the jeans.

Personal annoyance for me are Christmas jumpers or more to the point the lack of elegant Christmas cardigans. I would love a beautiful , flattering, red cardigan with a simple Christmas design. These are rare beasts, particularly below a certain (high) price point.

You could buy a plain one and then buy some crochet snowflakes from Etsy or Ebay and stitch them round the neck, It would look pretty without being OTT. You could also then remove them until next Christmas and use the cardigan in your every day wardrobe.

Badly cut t-shirts that twist in the wash so that the side seams aren't even. Bought this from White Stuff earlier in the year and after the first wash the side seams had twisted two inches to the right. Pure Cotton Striped T-Shirt | White Stuff | M&S

Oh and why doesn't anyone make jumpers out of natural fabrics any more. I used to have a staple of a navy cotton jumper from M&S for my "preppy look" lol - I can't get a proper cotton jumper anywhere anymore.

M&S

Pure Cotton Striped T-Shirt | White Stuff | M&S

Soft pure cotton ensures this White Stuff T-shirt feels gentle against the skin. It's cut in a comfortable regular fit, with a flattering scoop neckline and a modern step hem. A colourful striped design gives this short-sleeved style a playful look.

Uniqo.

I don't work for them, honestly, but I have had merino jumpers and cotton jumpers from them. They wash well as well.

I get the Abercrombie 100% cotton jeans- agree not impressed with the trousers but the jeans are great. Levi curve are good, when you can get them. I also find the Levi ribcage good- I just get them tailored.

Trousers that have a tie at the front which ruins the line of any top you're wearing over it ( if that makes sense? )

Learn to do a reef knot - it's very flat - I use it for all tie belts as I am fairly apple shaped.
Right over left and under.
Left over right and under.

If ANYONE has a clue about long line t-shirts please tell everyone on this thread. I'm 5ft 3 because God started at the top and got bored at my knees - so I'm a normal height from my shoulders to my waist, and also from waist to knees, but have to buy below knee boots and they go up to my knees.
This means, together with my ample bosom, that all tops expose my midriff.

Good idea. I might look into that. :)

V neck t shirts that show my bra, so bloody annoying and seems really common. I’m constantly adjusting my tops! I’ve no bust to speak of and they aren’t particularly deep v’s so I’ve no idea where I’m going wrong!

With jumpers I buy mens v neck jumpers. They are much longer in the body than women's.

Uniqlo V neck jumpers

I don't work for them, but I always visit their store every time I'm in Liverpool.

Those silver metal fasteners on trousers. I want a button and zip fastening, not those. Sometimes they put this fastening and a button too. Far too much faffing about.
