Anyone want to talk Autumn shopping wish lists?

I know it’s not even August yet, and I’ve still not gone on my summer holiday yet - but there’s a chill in the air, I’ve packed a box of freshly picked blackberries in the freezer for autumnal crumbles and while looking for school uniform today, noticed quite a few burgundy items in shop windows.

So what’s on your autumnal shopping list?

Im after a pair of black knee high boots. (My old ones finally had to be retired last year, beyond what could be repaired.)

I’ve just bought a dark brown cashmere jumper on vinted. Am now going to start the hunt for the perfect dark green cashmere jumper or cardie.

I think I need new work trousers but not sure what shape we’re doing this year. (Wide leg ? That doesn’t work well with puddles.)

Anyone else with a list for when the new season starts arriving in the shops?

I’ve got the One Hundred Stars Rachel in the Proteas Kew - I love it, but I’ve never worn it, it feels too good for daywear, yet not good enough for occasion wear, I need to dig it out and experiment more! It’s beautiful colours….

Stripe & Stare is my go to for knickers but I also got a nice set from H&M that I’m impressed by and minimal VPL

Smart coat ❎ bought a purple waterproof. It’s fine to arrive at the office in, but no good for events/meetings.

I’m pleased as it felt like my work wardrobe was in good shape but weekends were the same 3 jeans & T-shirts in rotation

With experience, I find the least you put in to the actual search bar on Vinted the better! - so, I’d actually just search for coat, then use the filters for brand, colour, size, condition, fabric etc.

I wear the Rachel dress with a belt. Good luck with it.

Tried the Rachel dress on this morning - love it! Haven’t tried with a belt yet, as we’re just back from holiday and husband still asleep 😴, but it’s a winner whichever way I prefer it. (Am going to go for the black stork though, I think.)

Just wear the dress, @Rina66 - I think most things these days can be dressed up or down with accessories, so more casual shoes and go for it as a day dress.

I would love to buy a Reformation silk lace edged skirt in either black or brown for Winter. My old slip skirts are now too big for me & look ridiculous on. They're pricey ( for me) though and I think I need to raise the funds by e baying first.

This - exactly this. My feeling is that a leather jacket and/or some boots can make most dresses workable for less 'special' events. And that some nice shoes and make up and hair can Dres things up for special. I think that dress looks as if it could definitely go both ways.

I've found a box of clothes in storage, much went to the charity shop but I did find a cropped trench, a cashmere berry coloured cardigan and new with tags wide leg jeans. Must be ten years old at least, a time before a chronic condition and steroids came into my life. They fill a space in my wardrobe perfectly.

Also been looking for a large wrap scarf in grey or navy for a while and I spotted a grey one with a navy stripe, still with tags on, in the charity shop I donated my unwanted stored items to on Saturday so that came home with me. When I got it home I realised it's a wool and cashmere mix so an absolute bargain for £4!

I went to yoga a couple days ago and saw someone with a teally nice cord bag. I looked every where on the internet to find it only to realise it was a £12 bag from amazon!
Just bought it. Maybe others might be interested. I will ise it as my work bag (laptop friendly) The corduroy is perfect for autumn and for £11 im not taking any risks.

@PeonyPatchi keep on looking at the Zara dupes. But I think I'd rather save up for the original. I have silk skirts that have been in my wardrobe for years & have always worn a lot of silk & lace. So it's probably not a passing fancy for me.

I took advantage of my Sparks Discount yesterday & ordered the side stripe wide leg jeans & in-store bought the lovely cropped sweatshirt I saw on an Instagramer the other day. In a beautiful shade of green - called Evergreen I think. I also returned something elsewhere, so in my mind I was spending free money😂
