Anyone want to talk Autumn shopping wish lists?

I know it’s not even August yet, and I’ve still not gone on my summer holiday yet - but there’s a chill in the air, I’ve packed a box of freshly picked blackberries in the freezer for autumnal crumbles and while looking for school uniform today, noticed quite a few burgundy items in shop windows.

So what’s on your autumnal shopping list?

Im after a pair of black knee high boots. (My old ones finally had to be retired last year, beyond what could be repaired.)

I’ve just bought a dark brown cashmere jumper on vinted. Am now going to start the hunt for the perfect dark green cashmere jumper or cardie.

I think I need new work trousers but not sure what shape we’re doing this year. (Wide leg ? That doesn’t work well with puddles.)

Anyone else with a list for when the new season starts arriving in the shops?

Very nice! I think the Birkenstock Clogs would look really lovely with them! I am an adidas sambas gal so will be sporting those too. I’d be interested how they fare with boots too like an ankle boot

Does anywhere sell plus size carrot style jeans? I need a size 26 but m & s only go up to 24.

I am still saving up for my Birkenstock Montana shoes- in the meantime does anyone know of a discount shop they might have or anything like that? Or alternatively, does anyone know a brand which would be a good alternative? I need comfortable shoes for wet days and- importantly- they need to have a fairly smooth sole. My walk to the car is quite muddy in winter and my boots with their grippy sole collect a lot of mud which then dries and falls out at work! Moshulu shoes look lovely (and their slippers are fabulous) but they have the same deep cleats (?) in the sole as my boots. I want to avoid having to change my feet when I get to work.

I ordered these trainers from fatface yesterday. I tried on the blue pair in the shop and they are super comfy, but I wanted brown so I’ve ordered them. They look a lot nicer on than in the picture.

I've just ordered some Fitflop Rally trainers, black leather with white soles, and a red Hush puff sleeve top.

@PeonyPatch - had to pop into town with Dd for some Uni bits and whilst she was in Boots went back to try the Toffee jumper , resisted it 😀

But I did buy the plum one you linked instead 😂😂😂. It’s a lovely shape, slightly longer with a subtle curve at the back.

@PeonyPatch - I haven’t braved carrot jeans yet , although having bought a Reiss pair of jeans last week and Levi 501 90’s only a few weeks before, I think I’ve used up my jeans budget 😂

Reiss jeans are fab. Worth the investment I say! I have my eyes on a few, but can’t justify the spend at the moment. I wish I was rich 😁

I tried the carrot jeans today. I looked ridiculous but I did love the length. Can anyone suggest a similar length jean - ankle grazer but a more slim fit?

Oh don't. I'm desperately trying to not buy the new Fitflop brown suede loafers with the tassle. I have some brown suede loafers. For that matter I also have brown suede ballerinas, and brown suede ankle boots. I don't need to buy another pair. I really don't.

And yet......

Next do a straight leg crop, mid-rise, in a super soft, stretchy denim. I have them in white and black.

I’d approach it the other way around- find some straight or slim jeans that you like, then either roll them up or cut them to the length you want (I’d probably go with rolling up as I like the look, and plus you can then roll them down to tuck them into tall boots and there won’t be a weird-feeling gap of skin touching the sides of the boots (or is that just me??).

I've lost quite a bit of weight so am treating myself to a new Autumn wardrobe. For the love of god can someone recommend knickers that won't spoil the look of my new trousers with a VPL !

(As long as they’re waist high trousers …) Somebody recommended these on here and I succumbed, and I love them - bit of support in them and feel like big comfy knickers but a bit more glamorous.

I bought the burgundy Jigsaw coat new with a decent discount when it was released, and 🤞🤞🤞 (as long as it’s good when it arrives), Vinted came up with the navy one at a great price yesterday.

Bought some lovely navy Me+Em trousers on Vinted last month.

M&S also got the aubergine crepe tab trousers stocked up, so they are waiting for me when I get home from holiday.

Having seen someone in Seville looking fabulous in it, I also have the One Hundred Stars Rachel dress waiting for me at home. Have dithered over it for years, so am finally going to put it to bed and try it - will either love it and keep it, or hate it and be able to put it out of my mind for ever more.😆

Which print did you go for, @WinWhenTheyreSinging? I couldn’t get on with the Rachel shape, but was v pleased with the v pleat dress they no longer do, in the endpaper waterprint print that they also no longer do. Sigh. Sold on as too big, would love to replace. Might have to stalk Vinted.

Lately I have got:
Brown glitter yarn All Saints jumper
Navy All Saints Alix dress with ruched waist (too lightweight for autumn really, but will wear with tights and boots)
A vintage Moroccan brown leather bag (beautiful patina). All Vinted.
Plus the reversible faux shearling cropped jacket from M&S on order.

The ones (both sizes, I can’t comprehend that the smaller one will fit me, although in theory it should)I ordered are the black acer print, which I love - but if I’m honest, I have a suspicion that if I do like it on me, I might be on to Vinted for the black stork print instead. There are things about it (pattern placement/matching) that annoy me, but I still feel like it might be ‘the one’. Will see.

Do we have an ‘I ❤️ Vinted’ thread? If not, I might start one if my coat is good when it arrives.
