Anyone want to talk Autumn shopping wish lists?

I know it’s not even August yet, and I’ve still not gone on my summer holiday yet - but there’s a chill in the air, I’ve packed a box of freshly picked blackberries in the freezer for autumnal crumbles and while looking for school uniform today, noticed quite a few burgundy items in shop windows.

So what’s on your autumnal shopping list?

Im after a pair of black knee high boots. (My old ones finally had to be retired last year, beyond what could be repaired.)

I’ve just bought a dark brown cashmere jumper on vinted. Am now going to start the hunt for the perfect dark green cashmere jumper or cardie.

I think I need new work trousers but not sure what shape we’re doing this year. (Wide leg ? That doesn’t work well with puddles.)

Anyone else with a list for when the new season starts arriving in the shops?

I wanted these but they start at a 4 in the green and pink ones and they’re too big. 😢

Rise & Fall have some silk cotton cardigans, including a bright red one.

Those loafers are lively @mummysmagicmedicine - I’m trying to resist buying another pair for now, even though I don’t love my original ones. Mine aren’t shiny patent though… 🤔 and thanks for knitting recommendations, as it happens I picked up some short sleeve tops from H&M and John Lewis today.

Oh no. Im normally a 5 but had to size up for these. I found them too small.

That’s strange. I’ll go and give them another try, maybe with an insole. I really like them.

@WoolerOwl thanks for this - i had a look and they do nice cardigans indeed. I then went on vinted and thanks to the “magic” of internet algorithms i was presented with the perfect Baujken berry coloured cardi! Ive just made an offer

I need to stop 😫but in my defence I’ve had birthday money to spend and a decent Vinted balance from selling clothes, so it’s not a typical month

Delivered today were a gorgeous oxblood AllSaints leather jacket, The Kooples silky black maxi dress and chunky belt with silver hardware, an Isabel Marant faux leather skirt and some Acne jeans. All Vinted bargains.

How is everyone getting on with boot shopping? I ordered a pair from M&S but the faux leather is plastic and shiny looking so they are going back, they look really cheap for £80.

I have some maroon brogue boots from Carvela on the way (via Vinted) and have already bought some block heel boots, one pair in black leather and one tan suede, originally ASOS, also from Vinted and an absolute bargain - £6 for the suede ones! Plus I have these below which are new new. I think that should do given that I also have a black pair of Birkenstock boots from last year which are still perfectly serviceable and some brown Hey Dudes good enough to knock about in 🫢

Found some Green Boots as I mentioned before I was after, Bargain too at £27 in the fat face sale. They've got a similar pair in the full price section also, But i'm well happy with these. Real leather, Just hope the soles are ok for winter!

I doubt if my look would work for you, but last year I wanted Blundstone boots and was put off by the price. I bought similar style from Bareback and they’ve been fantastic, waterproof and the leather (nubuck!) looks as good a year on as it did when I bought them.

I’ve ordered two pairs of oxblood loafers, Tu and M & S, to wear with cropped grey barrel jeans.
Also think I need the Next brown suede trench up thread too and a suede midi skirt, it’s funny how once the weather changes I get very inspired!

Really hope you get on with these, I ordered them quite a while ago now - maybe last year? - and they were the strangest design! The side zip doesn't go all the way to the top to let you get your foot in so you have to try to force your foot in via the top which was too narrow! I was so disappointed as apart from that I loved them.

I want some some brown, slightly scrunchy brown boots. I've just bought a lovely burnt orange cashmere jumper and OP now has me hankering after a dark brown one!

I've just bought a pair of chocolate brown, real suede clogs from a Tiktok shop. They look identical to the Birkenstock Boston clogs, they're excellent quality and are actually more comfortable than the real Birkies I own.

They were £25! So, now I know they're really good quality I'm buying a pair in olive green and stone. Never paying £130 + for the real thing ever again.

If all goes well i should have £40 in credit on vinted for the sale of three items… I am coveting either a new with tag Boden cardigan (bird poo colour but nice! - not sure what colour it is!!) OR a Baujken blazer houndstooth…. The wait is long… and hopefully they wont go before i get the money!!

I’ve got so many things on my Autumn wishlist, it’s ridiculous! I’m struggling with knowing what to prioritise. I do really need some new jeans and a new coat as I’ve sold all my autumn winter jackets on Vinted

I always seem to buy things randomly. I popped into Next today to get a flower vase - but came out with a long sleeve black and white stripe T shirt, nice thick cotton, I love it!

Me too. Went into Next to collect an order, bought a dark brown velvet maxi skirt. The order I was collecting was a pair of long biker boots which I just randomly spotted when I opened the Clearance section. Just tried them on and they are gorgeous and feel really comfortable. I have no regrets 😁

Oh you've just reminded me that I've got some biker boots to collect from next, also from the clearance section. I also put some puffer coats into my basket (I don't really like puffer coats so I begrudge spending a lot, but one is needed for bonfire night, and winter illumination walks etc), but they all sold out before I got chance to check out, so hopefully someone bought them all and will return the ones they don't like and they'll come back in stock 🤞

Some lovely buys on here. I've just bought a gorgeous charcoal grey glittery pleated skirt on Vinted. Thought I could wear it for evenings out (DS is a music degree student at a Conservatoire so we go to lots of concerts) but I'm now wondering whether pleated skirts have had their moment?

I was thinking of pairing it with a merino sweater and boots. In my head it's cool...but could also be off trend bag lady!
