BakeOffRewatch · 23/06/2025 22:52

Saw the first post today releasing contents and price so have started this thread. Let the spreadsheets commence.

Revolution Beauty £50 beautyadventcalendar.net/revolution-advent-calendar-2025/ https://www.instagram.com/p/DLQEY5ao22M

I’ve called it S&B as there’s usually discussion of nice food, socks, jewellery and other item ACs as well.

How exciting the first advent reveal. First impressions of Liberty £275! Slightly scared this might be the new norm for premium advents this year but hope not. I quite like it good for perfume lovers I think there is 8 in there. And a few different items not seen before not sure about that Trish McEvoy lipstick though looks very dark

I've had a look at the lipstick and it's a sheer one - looks like a similar shade to Clinique Black Honey. Definitely my sort of thing.

Doubleraspberry · 02/07/2025 11:47

Oh, I am so pleased by those contents, being as I am committed to the Liberty's calendar this year. Setting aside the FULL SIZE Elasticizer, there is the lovely Charlotte Mensah conditioner that I loved in the Beauty Drop, and I've been wanting to try a Lisa Eldridge eye pencil for ages (and in brown too). Even the obligatory AB is the eye cream, to mix it up a bit. The Larry King does nothing at all for me, but other than that, no obvious DoDs in that. I'm also thrilled to see so many fragrances.

i love that Clinique lippy, was given it and it’s great.

Does anyone have a list or are you all just closely examining the image? I love the idea lots of fragrance.

Didnt get Liberty last year so maybe this…

I sell boxes on eBay, got £20 for a liberty one once.

Badknitter · 02/07/2025 12:04

I have pre ordered the Liberty this morning - first (and possibly only) year as I got the beauty drop boxes so it didn’t seem quite so horrendously expensive.

Fedupandstressed · 02/07/2025 11:22

I re-used my box by regifting all unwanted items and a few bought specially to my mum. She loved it.

The only item that I’m not excited about is the elsstisizer again. And we get an eye pencil that’s not black. Finally! And so many fragrances. Yeay!

Unfortunately it's the same eye pencil that's in the Liberty kit I just bought. A full size rather than the mini but I don't go through a lot of eye pencil.

It looks similar to the Lisa Eldridge Bohemian Cherry which I bought earlier in the year. That's not a sheer one so maybe this is more subtle which isn't a bad thing. The LE lipstick is quite 'dramatic' as lip colours go. I love it but I do often blot it and top with a gloss to tone it down a bit.

I gave that conditioner to a friend so never actually tried it. It's a shame it's 50ml because they've put in 100ml of Davines shampoo and I was expecting a matching conditioner. That might be a me thing but I like them to come in pairs. I have a mini Davines leave in conditioner which I like.

At least the Elasticizer is full size. 😀

There seems to be too much fragrance this year for Liberty. I loved the Oud last year and have repurchased but HATED (in caps) the Faces of Frances and the Bibbi one. Also hair care items are rather contentious too.

On the fence a bit but I enjoyed last years one overall.

TragicMuse · 02/07/2025 12:49

Do I need to pay now if I pre-order it? I want a few more BD deposits in my account to pay for it!!

OvaHere · 02/07/2025 12:54

@TragicMuse I expect so.

BakeOffRewatch · 02/07/2025 13:07

Ok here’s my pricing of the Liberty 2025, bonus Fragrantica links. Yes I am put off by the abundance of perfume too, a lot of them are woody, the haircare isn’t “real” full sizes (250ml +), but then I look at the skincare section and nearly all are full size and I will get good use out of all those. A good mix to have a routine, unlike last year when they had 3 acids - I haven’t even got through one yet. I think the Verden night balm and the Zelens B12 overnight repair mask are new products too as I couldn’t find much online. So the skincare value of £600+ to £250 if you’re a BD member pre-ordering would make it worth it to me.

Since when have 6ml and 8ml perfumes been full size?

Puravida23 · 02/07/2025 13:52

Wow thank you for doing this @BakeOffRewatch . That is amazing especially with the fragrance links . I think I will be deep diving into this later this evening

If they sell them then they're full size. I think that's how it goes. I got excited at first because I thought it was a proper full size Vanilla Powder but alas...

SoloCat · 02/07/2025 13:58

Ooh …advent season! Let the festivities begin. 🍿
Thank you @BakeOffRewatch for your brilliant synopsis.

Doubleraspberry · 02/07/2025 14:00

Thanks so much, @BakeOffRewatch .

Waffles21 · 02/07/2025 14:22

Thanks @BakeOffRewatch this is amazing! I’m a bit meh about the Liberty calendar, I loved last years, especially the skin care, but the perfumes were my least favourite, I didn’t like any of them, and 8😩. I also thought they may do something amazing with it being their big birthday. I’m going to have to have a think and see what else comes up

clary · 02/07/2025 15:22

@BakeOffRewatch amazing thanks! Liking all the fragrance but wish there was more bath stuff

Arrearing50 · 02/07/2025 15:38

@BakeOffRewatch thanks!!!! Interesting range - good skincare - wanted to try David jack for ages. Make up line up not too bad either….tempting

Arrearing50 · 02/07/2025 15:39

F&M is usually reliable for bath products @clary

BlueLimes · 02/07/2025 16:08

Thank you @BakeOffRewatch it does look a good choice.

owlexpress · 02/07/2025 16:53

I don't want to speak too soon, but I am wondering if I'm now genuinely over the ACs. £275 seems a huge amount of money for those contents, despite the fact I've spent similar in previous years. I don't know, maybe it's the cost of everything going up and me feeling the pinch more this year.

Addictedtobeauty · 02/07/2025 17:08

I am planning on buying Liberty but not yet- I want a couple more months beauty drop credit added first. If it sells out before I buy it, so be it.

I’m waiting till next month as otherwise I’m losing the £25 discount to add £20 credit! But then I’m done.
