BakeOffRewatch · 23/06/2025 22:52

Saw the first post today releasing contents and price so have started this thread. Let the spreadsheets commence.

Revolution Beauty £50 beautyadventcalendar.net/revolution-advent-calendar-2025/ https://www.instagram.com/p/DLQEY5ao22M

I’ve called it S&B as there’s usually discussion of nice food, socks, jewellery and other item ACs as well.

Signing up. Looking forward to the Space NK contents reveal, have been coveting that one for the last couple of years.

I had John Lewis last year. It was probably a good choice as everything was very usable for me, but it was quite heavy on the bath oils/perfume/home scent side, less skincare. I think I’ve already managed to use up most of the skincare from it, which is quite impressive given the size of my skincare stash 😆. (I haven’t used the Sunday Riley Luna retinol oil yet though, no idea you’re supposed to do with that.)

The SR Luna oil is really lovely once you get over the colour. It made my skin look so healthy.

Addictedtobeauty · 26/06/2025 23:21

Sorry, I forgot to say. Use the Luna oil at night as a sleeping oil.

I can't believe I'm posting this early but I've been saving credit at Liberty since last Christmas with their calendar in mind. Last year's M&S was disappointing but their recent summer bag was fantastic. I wonder if they'll make their calendar just as good this Christmas to win back their customers.

Doubleraspberry · 27/06/2025 01:22

Morning, all. Another one with BD credits so Liberty will be mine but I do enjoy reading the chat. And despite telling myself I’ve been sensible in spreading the cost and a luxury calendar coming my way I am already wondering whether a Diptyque calendar would be that extravagant. I had one in 2020 when I had nothing else to spend money on and it was fabulous.

nearly61 · 28/06/2025 09:04

Hello! As usual a bit late to the party but I love the advent threads! I've saved BD funds so will definitely get the Liberty one but I loved the HN ones last year so will be very interested to read what everyone thinks about the contents this year...might well succumb 😁

CountryCob · 01/07/2025 20:16

Hello everyone, looking forward to the spreadsheets, up dates and analysis! I thought Space NK looked the best last year, had Holland and Barrett which was really popular and shared with DD and cowshed last year. Could be tempted by a good look fantastic or glossybox and if M&S returned to form that would be excellent. It has been a while since I had a big hitter as had a lot of expensive projects so was missing the spare cash but hoping to manage a big one this year. Still have a stash but nothing like in the past. Would like an advent with some nice make up, new things to try and some good basics like a nice mascara and/or perfume after all these years I have got lots of red lipstick and nails and black eyeliners but we will see, no elasticiser or oplex present wash treatments, too time consuming and messy...

BakeOffRewatch · 02/07/2025 07:47

Glad to see so many other people excited for the chat. No comments on the Revolution one? I think it’s a good quality high street brand and that £50 for all the stuff in is quite good value. No DOD (drawers of doom, despair or disappointment) really. It has a lot of full sizes. VERY pink though.

Oooh thanks @MrsBnow12 . I was wondering about it yesterday as last year they emailed us in June. 8 perfumes! https://www.libertylondon.com/uk/pre-order-liberty-beauty-advent-calendar-2025-R641279006.html

Ooh just browsing the contents now.

ElizabethG81 · 02/07/2025 08:27

Elasticizer! 😂

cheesychipsontheoche · 02/07/2025 08:32

shared Sephora with my daughter last year and it was excellent, will have to see what it’s like this year but was well worth the money (made full price back selling unwanted bits on Vinted)

Growlybear83 · 02/07/2025 09:13

I can’t say I’m particularly excited about the Liberty calendar, certainly not enough to pre order it. And the box looks to be the same as the last two years - I’ve still got the last two and have never found a use for them. They’re too nice to throw away but you can’t sell them on Vinted and my local charity shop didn’t want them.

I auctioned mine on eBay last year and got about £15 for it I think.

wheresmyshoe · 02/07/2025 09:26

I’ve been saving BD credit all year and I think Liberty is ok, a few DoD, I’m not skipping about just yet and won’t pre-order. A good few things we’ve seen before in kits and boxes and just why to elasticiser, did someone make a mistake ordering it because we’ve been swamped with it.

wheresmyshoe · 02/07/2025 09:34

I’ve just clicked Liberty is £275 this year, I’m guessing £20 off for BD members. I’ll have the credit available but flipping heck these calendars are getting toppy in price.

Arrearing50 · 02/07/2025 09:36

Excited to look - £275 though - that’s a serious splurge…all ok if you want it more than whatever else you could do with the money

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 02/07/2025 09:40

I think the Liberty Advent looks even better than last year - though that Elasticizer again, it's like Japanese Knotweed, gets everywhere 😂

hby9628 · 02/07/2025 09:41

@Growlybear83i put my old
advent calendar boxes on our local fb page the last couple of years and they were snapped up. I didn’t take for money but they are too nice to throw away.

Peridot1 · 02/07/2025 09:53

Can’t believe it’s Advent Calendar time already! Where does the time go?

I had Liberty last year as I had BD credit and loved having it but I don’t want it again. (Good tip about giving the boxes away on FB - mine is currently in the utility room waiting for me to decide what to do with it.)

As usual I have so much stuff in my stash that I don’t think I need a calendar this year. Although in previous years I have said the same. We will see! Maybe M&S as it’s not too big a spend.

Looking forward to all the chat in the meantime.

ElizabethG81 · 02/07/2025 10:04

Just had an email from Liberty, beauty drop members get £25 off the calendar this year.

Housewife2010 · 02/07/2025 10:53

Is this going to be a spoiler thread? I'm happy either way, but should probably be decided before contents are posted so everyone is happy.

BakeOffRewatch · 02/07/2025 11:05

This is definitely a spoilers thread. Implied by the spreadsheets and analysis. I’ll ask MN to edit the title.

That's great. They are so expensive that I check all the contents first, then try and forget them once I've decided which one to buy!

Fedupandstressed · 02/07/2025 11:22

I re-used my box by regifting all unwanted items and a few bought specially to my mum. She loved it.

The only item that I’m not excited about is the elsstisizer again. And we get an eye pencil that’s not black. Finally! And so many fragrances. Yeay!

Puravida23 · 02/07/2025 11:24

How exciting the first advent reveal. First impressions of Liberty £275! Slightly scared this might be the new norm for premium advents this year but hope not. I quite like it good for perfume lovers I think there is 8 in there. And a few different items not seen before not sure about that Trish McEvoy lipstick though looks very dark
